I guess I try to avoid 'writ in stone' policies. I can't bring myself to enforce a policy. This may cost me a 100 dollars (or 200?) a year and a few hours of extra work, fair trade for me to be able to keep it simple.

And it seems enough are so happy with the resolution that I'd bet I easily make it up in extra sales.

Most are reasonable, with only a few rare exceptions (actually, none spring to mind at the moment).

Only my way, just want people to like me.....

I always work with my customers, but some give an inch take a mile type people are not worth it. And if they don't like me so be it.

but I almost always am willing to take my work back. unless the situation is totally crazy, like the person's been wearing it and its not new and resellable.

I just accepted a return this week.
It's painful, but I just relisted it and it'll sell eventually.
The only thing I say I won't accept returns on is customized stuff...but yeah, I even took one of those back once.

Just a cute story....
Mostly I envision you in a lab coat or scrubs doing some serious life-saving, or in Prada duds in a chic restaurant, or in metalsmithing mode making masterpieces. Just nice to know you are somewhat human like the rest of us at times.

I just received an e-mail from Paypal apologizing for the delay in the Canadian credit card thingie- I do know I did not sign up for that!

Yup- I am usually a softie about returns if it's a legit thing. Listing a size 6 3 stone ring with a sapphire flanked by 2 aquamarines- really, what are the chances that will sell in the next 2 years? Not listing it, taking it apart.
Also adding Rachel's - consider a gift certificate. I think I let mine expire after the holidays. I have sold 2 the entire time I have had them listed.

Oh good. I sold a necklace locally and it was exactly the amount I owed for 2 months rent and the commission! First sale at this venue in almost two months. I did not make any money but nothing is coming out of my pocket either.
