Would love to see that, CG. I just finished hand sanding a piece while watching Mad Men. I'm sure the flexshaft could do this, but it was so relaxing. It's in such good condition now that it will only need a really quick spin on the big buffer with an obvious anger problem that likes to throw stuff. :)
I also bought some more Turquoise from the ebay guy, and had a fun idea for a new pendant. It's going to be a little weird, but easy construction wise, so I'm excited!
On the big smooth cuffs I wipe quickly with a palm full of 400 emery across, seems to pick out the slightest irregularities before triopli, After tripoli you can't see them without close study.
I've been chasing speed for so long any hand sanding seems so slow.
I know I entered the dark ages with my hand sanding. Ha ha. I'm trying to back off the need for speed, and just enjoy the process. The tripoli polish brought up some firescale, and I decided to just hand sand it off. It worked, and after a second polish on the wheel it looks great. I also found my groove of the right position with the perfect amount of pressure on the wheel, and nothing went flying.

Dianna, I did some hand filing at work a few days ago and felt like I was stepping back in time too, at least for that particular operation. I usually use cratex wheels for a lot of that type of work. It was fun in a way. And so quiet!

Kim, I think most just set it up like "Payment one for so ans so" with the amount agreed on for the payments until it's paid off. I'd put the shipping on the ladt payment, and I wouldn't do more than two or three installments.

Hi Kim- yes, that's what I do, installment #1 etc and of course you eat the extra 20cents in fees for however many extra listings it is- but I don't mind for a higher priced item

a thought about it slowing you down - what if you just shoot the photos while you are doing the work and then go back later and create the tutorial? That way you can more smoothly and quickly get the work done and then write out each step later at your leisure?
My sleeping subconscious does a lot of the work. Woke up with why that parcel showed 'label correction applied' on the tracking before it left Canada.
Looks like I paid too much. All of mine show the US$ amount and the CDN$ amount when I fill them out. looks almost like the did the conversion twice so it's about 20% more than I should have paid. Everything else is perfect.
So I pay too much and they delay it a day. Don't see any correction on my etsy shipping bill.
Because they show both the USD and CDN amounts when I fill out the form I didn't really notice, but now I see the USD amount is what I should have paid in CDN.
Watch, 6 weeks from now they'll slip in a credit for that amount and I'll go on a search to find out why.
I'm worried. I haven't seen Cookie since I got up this morning, and a while ago I saw that the lock to our shed was forced open, and things look in disarray there.
I'm so tired of our house being broken into. :( I wonder where Cookie is, if she was there and got scared and ran off or something. And it's her birthday. :( :(
