Re: New Member Intro

My name is Olga Haserodt, born in the Russian city Astrachan, living now for more than 10 years in Germany due to my family situation.
Already during my childhood I was interested in creating hand made things by my self and I got taught in that art by my mother and grand mothers. I am still so much grateful for what those beloved people gave to me.
To work with beads I started in 2007, when I was pregnant with my third child and at the beginning I was mainly focused on creating wonderful Easter eggs.
Most of the techniques I am using today I have learned more or less with help of the Internet, so I would call myself an autodidact.
I am so much happy with what I am doing and the reactions of people boost my creativity even more.
Many thanks go to my husband and children.

Re: New Member Intro

Hello everyone.
I just opened earlier this month. I'm a painter by profession but haven't had the time to get into painting with little ones to care for. I needed a creative outlet and brought out my beads. I'm enjoying the creative process and maybe soon I'll be able to add some paintings to the shop.

Re: New Member Intro

Hi!

I have only been a member here for about 3 days, and I have to say, I have had a wonderful experience! I recently began beading when my daughter wanted a headpiece to wear to Ren Faire and the ones there were just not what we wanted. I have been bit by the bug and I don't feel myself if I don't bead at least one item per day. (Usually more like 3-4). I am excited to get started here and I hope you guys will stop by for a glance. More listings soon! Thanks.

Angie

I am a lampwork artist and jeweler.I started to make beads in Dec 2004.I work primarily with China Mainland and Hongkong Gaffer glass studio. All the lampwork beads we sell are my original designs, and handmade by myself.I even have a degree in metalsmithing so you may see some glass and metal combinations now and then also.

Re: New Member Intro

Hello!

I just opened my shop about a week ago. I love to make different beaded animals--have since I was fairly small--and recently learned how to make little dragons made from pony beads and wire. I have only one little dragon up for sale now, but i will be working on more in the next couple weeks, in a variety of colors.

Re: New Member Intro

Hi! Just getting started, new hobby for me. I was recently laid off from a corporate defense contractor....imagine that, right? Any how. I am now officially obsessed with beads. In fact my obsession has grown faster than I can learn how to make things and new techniques.. So, I'm looking for any resources I can. I've been browsing sellers handbook, different bead sites, etc. So far, no sales. Wondering if this is even going to be a good idea for anything other than a hobby. :-)

Re: New Member Intro

Hi. I make jewelry from seed beads, crystals, and my own polymer clay beads. Currently I've mostly been making Russian spiral bangles from Japanese and Czech seed beads, but I've just started expanding my selection a bit. https://www.etsy.com/listing/151362091/purple-and-gold-beaded-bangle

I also make gem trees, which I mention only because of my current profile pic.

Re: New Member Intro

Hello, My name is Cheryl McIntosh. Thank you for inviting me to your group. I have been working with metal for over 40 years as a wire sculpture artist and also as a silversmith. Beads have been an addiction before I was born :) Started making my own at the age of 7 with macaroni noodles and yarn. Then went to paper beads and when I started working small jobs (selling morning glory seeds found in the yard and selling them in packets of 25 to the neighbors) I started buying Glass beads! Over the years along with working real jobs the money became enough that I could buy incredible beads. But that was not enough I needed a Torch, Kiln and all the rest that goes with Lampwork Bead Making. At the age of 66 I am still working at my art and have come back to Etsy to check it out. Needless to say I have lots to share if anyone is interested. Many a show have I done over the past 40 years and have me many of the BIG name artists along the way. This has been quite an adventure for me. Thank you again for inviting me to your group.

Re: New Member Intro

Hi, I'm a full time mum of two lovely, lively girls. I've just opened my Etsy shop selling handmade polymer clay European style charm beads and jewellery. I use millefiori techniques to create images of wild flowers, butterflies and garden birds, which I embed on polymer clay beads. I am fascinated by the ability to create intricate images using polymer clay alone and my passion for nature is my inspiration for the pieces I create.

Re: New Member Intro

Hi everyone! I just opened up a shop here in the end of April selling handmade jewelry. I have been making jewelry on and off for 15 years or so but it's only been recent that I have gotten serious about it and tried to start selling. I started out making seed bead jewelry and hemp jewelry when I was in high school and have kept it up over the years. I also crochet time will tell if I ever list any of it though, in the 5 or so years of doing it I have only completed a few projects. I mostly make bracelets these days, thats enough for me!

Looking forward to checking out everyone's shops, everyone on this site is super talented and creative.
