Welcome! I don't think it's a bad idea, but I would work on getting at least 4-8 listings onto your page as soon as you can, it helps to have items for visitors to look at, even as examples for custom orders. If you already have customers / friends who will be sending you requests, that helps too! Getting some good reviews going will help your shop. Best of luck!
