Hi everyone, I’m Jess! 

I’m originally from Belgium and have over 20 years of experience in graphic design and art direction. A few years ago, my husband and I started our own company creating hot foil posters using vintage printing presses, all officially licensed. We had the honor of collaborating with iconic brands like Warner Bros, Sanrio, Playmobil, Moulin Rouge Paris...

But after years of high-pressure entrepreneurship in France, we found ourselves craving a softer, slower pace of life.

So, after nearly a decade of intense hustle, we made a bold move: packed up everything, left it all behind, and returned to the Caribbean, a place we had once called home and never truly forgotten.

I recently dusted off my Etsy shop, which had been a bit neglected, and gave it a fresh start with brand new digital products. I’ve chosen to go fully digital this time, as the local postal service on this island is… well, let’s say “adventurous” and I never want to disappoint my customers!

Hi everyone!

I’m Youssef, the owner of CarpetsYoussef, a new Etsy shop where I share handcrafted Moroccan rugs made in collaboration with women artisans from my region.

My love for this craft started at home — I grew up watching my mother and grandmother weaving rugs with care, creativity, and deep cultural pride. Their hands told stories through every knot and color. As a child, the loom was always part of the background in our home. Now, it’s become the heart of my small business.

Opening this shop is my way of honoring their legacy and sharing a piece of our heritage with the world. Each rug is a blend of traditional Berber craftsmanship and bold, modern flair.

I haven’t received my first order yet, but I’m proud of what I’ve built and grateful to be part of the Etsy community. Every favorite, visit, and kind word keeps me motivated — and I can’t wait for that first sale to come.

Your shop is set up beautifully and you should continue doing what you're doing. I do have a suggestion. Have a friend or family member make the first purchase. Perhaps give them a discount in exchange for a good review. Online selling is like a tip jar at a cafe or for a street performer. If the jar is empty; no one gives. But, if there's a few bills and coins in the jar already; people are more generous. Once that first sale is made, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th will come more rapidly.

Once you get that sale, let me know. I'll have other suggestions

Introduce yourself to everyone.  Tell them your great offer.  And then look at what other people are offering.  I'm sure you'll find others that can help too!

Hi everyone, I'm Meghan! My shop is Amberly & Iris Candle Co. and I'm from California, USA. I opened my shop about a month ago, where I make hand poured soy candles in a variety of different fragrances. At the moment I'm only selling domestically, but I'm hoping to grow my shop so I can start to sell internationally as well!

I'm pretty new to selling online so I wanted to get more experienced and comfortable selling domestically before going internationally, but the more I look into it the more I think I'll start selling internationally sooner rather than later. I think I was just a bit nervous to when I first started out.

@AmberlyIrisCandles That's very understandable.  I felt the same way when I started out.

But, it really isn't too different from sending domestically.  You fill out a quick form.  And there's some notices that you have to add to your listings.  So, I would encourage you to offer your candles internationally before the holiday season kicks off (October - December).  GOOD LUCK!

Hi everyone, I’m Apolonia — thanks for having me here! I’m based in Glasgow, Scotland. I’ve worked as a photographer and graphic designer for years, but somewhere along the way, I lost the spark and took a break. Did a lot of self-work and healing during that time.

 I recently stumbled into AI creation (I know it can be a hot topic!), and it honestly brought my creativity back to life. Started HAUS & Frame, a little editorial-style print shop.
