Hi I'm Rachel, owner of Gin Gin Jewellery. I love gemstones almost as much as I love making them wearable! I've been on Etsy since 2020 but I've probably been a tad lazy with my shop since my daughter was born. I'm trying to find my groove again... Thank you for inviting me to this group. Hi Rachel,

Lovely shop & congratulations on coming out of your birth mom nesting mode (not at all easy transitions thru whole process!).

What I love about your shop & what pops out at me is the "Gemminess" quality you've captured in your products and product photos.  Weird terminology, I know, but given your background you probably use it yourself.  Brother in law runs a community based lapidary shop in Wisconsin & I've been out with him on the hunt for Oregon's "volcano" formed balls of crystalized rock...forgot what they are locally and affectionately called.  Edited for memory burp recall:  They are called "Thunder Eggs"!  Spent some quality digging time out at the famed "Lucky Strike Mine" w/a real character of a site manager, straight out of some old Gunsmoke Western TV central casting (but even more eccentric than imaginable).  So, I found myself getting into the nerdiness factor on the geology front, though I'm only good with a guide, so as not to have a disaster while rock or thunder egg hunting!

Brother in law describes Gemminess as having that color/clarity thing going on, that is hard to photograph & depict, w/o having some experience & pro level photo tips/tricks.  That fact you are coming back into it, means you are now just refining things in your shop.  Perhaps also exploring new product lines for your future.

Je suis française et j’habite dans le sud de la France dans une région perpétuellement ensoleillée. Ma lumière est le principal atout de ma passion puisque je cultive des plantes en substrat organique selon les enseignements de #jungleeden. Il s’agit de biochimie, le principe est de rapporter une vie organique dans le substrat et de créer un équilibre biologique qui travaille pour développer la plante. Les résultats sont époustouflants, les plantes sont tellement saines et résistantes !

Il s’agit vraiment d’une passion, j’ai une activité professionnelle par ailleurs. Toutefois, je viens d’ouvrir une boutique Etsy (https://vivelesplantes.etsy.com) pour trois raisons :

• les éléments et produits permettant la culture organique sont très onéreux et j’espère en financer une partie.
• J’ai envie de partager ma passion ! Je suis si fière de mes plantes, j’aimerais qu’elles puissent se pavaner dans le monde entier
• Nous avons pollué notre planète avec tant de produits aseptisant, j’aimerais populariser cette culture (n’hésitez-pas à consulter l’Instagram de jungleeden) qui redonne de la vie aux sols ;

Je m'appelle Anne Sophie, j'ai 25 ans et je réside en France, plus précisément à Amiens. Le 22 juillet 2023, j'ai donné vie à ma boutique Etsy. Je suis une passionnée d'artisanat, spécialement dans la création de sacs en perles et de porte-cartes en perles. À l'avenir, je prévois également de concevoir des bijoux. C'est pourquoi j'ai choisi de créer Ayaka, un nom qui signifie "Perles" dans ma langue ethnique, étant d'origine gabonaise. Ugh, still sooo slow. I rebranded my shop to an all digital download store.

Ive done years of seo, tag and title work, descriptions, all areas of the store are filled out, added videos, tried different pricing structures but still ridiculously low views. I'm also paying for ads with very little return on add spend. I've had other shops in the past and things got rolling quicker. I did reopen an older shop this time, thinking that was a huge mistake and I should have just started fresh...

If anyone has any thoughts on my shop I'd love to hear them...thanks!

I'm thinking of starting a second shop for originals and portraits.....But not sure if it's worth the time investment.

I don't think it was a bad idea open up an old shop. You can just re brand it. Also for some more help I would take a look at Starla Moore on YouTube. She has a lot of good free info. about Etsy. She has a live show every Friday also so you can ask questions. But you can ask question in the comments anytime also. I found her to be a huge help to me. I also just signed up for her course she runs only 2 times a year. But there's also a community of Etsy sellers you can ask questions to also. Again, Starla has tons of free information. She runs a group called, handmade alphas. But it is open to all kinds of sellers. My name is Jen and my shop is There's Only Three. I am still working on my shop and I have only been on Etsy a year and it has been slow, but I am still working on it. Hope to see you there.

Other than paying for ads, what have you been doing to invite your prospective buyers to your shop?
