Hi! I just opened up my first store for my mother, Fernanda Narciso. She is a Portuguese artist and has more than 100 paintings in her studio and has always wanted to open her own shop, where she could display her work and art. This year she turns 66 and that moment has arrived and it means a lot to her. We'll be uploading with new paintings. Take a look and hope you'll like and support her :)
@FernandaNarcisoArt What a wonderful story. We're so happy you're here. And can't wait to see all the paintings!
Hi, my name is Perry Ellis. A graphics design from Houston, Texas. My shop is called, "mensgiftunique ." I started my first shop years ago with direct to print for clothing but found little success. I have restarted within a niche that is designed to help men find gifts tailored to them. I found out through an etsy critique forum that I need to remove skin care items and spiritual healing descriptions a from my page. This will drastically change my account. But I know it is for the better. I wish to create a combination account of shirts and small accessories for men. Let me know if there are anything else about my shop that I need to revevaluate. I will surely look at yours and offer any assistance I can give. Thank you!
@Former_Member WELCOME TO THE ART TEAM PERRY! We're glad you're here. And we look forward to helping each other find success on Etsy!

Hi, I’m Sid. I'm retired after 45 yrs as an engineer in the oilfield. I’m born and raised in Louisiana and have lived in Lafayette for most of that time. It’s a very rich culture here living among the exiled French Acadians (Cajuns) with a good mix of Spanish and Creole. Great food and lots of festivals. Just some fun people! However, it’s just over 100 degrees outside as I write this. Hmmm. I’ve been cultivating my woodworking skills for the last 15 yrs or so and now make crucifixes, benches, birdhouses, grottoes and charcuterie boards among special requests. I sell locally and on Etsy now for 6 months. It gives me a real kick when someone favorites an item and then buys it. My wife Jill sells handmade rosaries and paints the statues for my grottos. My greatest challenge has been finding the right moment to stop working the wood. Since most of my creations are made from very old cypress which was virgin cut in the late 1700s to early 1900s, it’s not like you can run to Home Depot and find another piece of wood , if you overwork a project. So stop sanding and see what the wood has to say. My engineering training has run counter to that line of reasoning most of my life, so this has been a great awakening to me, once I was able to slow down and let the juices flow. That took a lot of trial and error and hard-to-swallow feedback for a guy who’s not accustomed to being so humble. So take heart you Newbies! When you take your first leap at creating and expose your soft little underbelly, you are likely to get your feelings hurt. My wife has taught me a lot in that department and how to suck it up and try again. Stay the course and let the energy flow. It just gets better and better.
