My name is Susan Frantz and I hand paint deer skulls. I started after finding one in the woods myself and painting it and enjoying the process. I noticed that other people also do this too and it furthered my appreciation for this art form. I love using the skull as my canvas and incorporating the natural curves and twists into my design. I am excited to share these now on Etsy and thank you for reaching out to me as I'm just beginning and could use the help. So thank you very much!

Introduction: My name is Lina Anne.

I joined Etsy around 2009, as a Buyer.

I bought all sorts of Art supplies here, using my old account (my Buying account). I still have that old account and sometimes I pick up antique photos and old cards to make Mixed Media "stuff" using that account.

I have a small Studio in my upper loft, and there, I like to paint when I have time (mostly water-coloring and acrylics) and also, I use the Ephemera that I collect ,in my Mixed Media projects. I also like to make hand-made jewelry. I give those out as gifts to friends and relatives.

In 2011, I opened this account (L2Country) with my Mom.

We used to love to go to Flea Markets and local Antique Shops to buy "stuff". We then started selling our duplicates on Etsy....Things such as: Depression Glass, Artist signed pottery, Restaurant ware, old fabrics, Christmas ornaments, doll clothing, old toys ,etc.

Anyhow, my Mom got sick so I took care of her, and had to stop selling for a while.

My Mom is better now, so I've started back selling on Etsy, just recently.

Since so much has changed (Tech wise) on Etsy, since I last sold, I am having to re-learn how to do things around here again. It's as though I am a new Seller all over again.

The Forums and Boards sure have changed---so much!

I'm still trying to get a hang of this. I used to be on many Boards/Forums, but they are all gone and replaced by other Boards and Forums. I don't see many of my Forum friends here any more. Not sure where they all went?

Hi everyone. Thank you for the invite again. I was born in South Africa, raised in Namibia, and am getting old in the USA. I’ve been working in clay for about 45 years. Since 2005 I've been specializing in porcelain sculpted bowls. I’ve made my mark by teaching around the world, writing technical articles and even published a book ( with a second one underway) but unlike other parts of the world, it is harder to sell ceramic art as art where I live in Mississippi. 

I signed up for Etsy in 2012 but dropped out, convinced it is not a venue for me. Late last year I decided to re-join. With an extremely busy schedule to maintain and work that is begging for new owners ( especially after it piled up during COVID) I thought I can learn how to sell my work through Etsy. 

I was successful with the first few pieces, but that fortune went away quickly. So here I am, seeking inspiration to sell my “fine functional” work as well as my signature porcelain art.

Please to meet you! My name is Trianny Lazala, born and raised in Dominican Republic. Came to United States about 17 years ago. I'm a craft-o-holic enthusiast, art lover, plant mom and mom of a beautiful teenager. I paint part-time while I'm a full-time employee. My current medium are watercolor, gouache (recently) and acrylic. I want someday to have the courage to learn oil just to try it out (I feel quite intimidated by this medium for some reason). Since I was in school I have and my peers that I was really good at drawing, collage, or any handmade homework we have to elaborate in some classes including art class. then life happens where you don't practice or develop your skills until one day my husband asked me to paint him something for his office. From there it became the genesis of my path to art again. Currently, I paint mainly seascapes, but I paint whatever drives me to grab my brushes and start drawing/painting. I'm still searching for my inner originality to show it in my paintings )don't we all, right?!). I open my Etsy shop (officially) almost 2.5 months ago. 

I hope we can follow and grow together and learn from each other.

My name is Vishnu Prakash. I am a resident of India. I live in Jaipur city of India. I am 28 Year old.  I Have completed my degree in civil engineering in 2016. After completing my degree, I worked as a civil engineer in a private limited company. I worked there  for a year and a half, after that I left and came because I could not survive within that expense and I had to stay for away from home. Hello fellow makers! 

My love affair with woodworking started in high school, back when it was a class everyone had to take. My first cutting board was small and simply said “CHOP" which I cut out with a band saw. This cutting board was the inspiration for starting Words with Boards. My mom kept this board all those years and it now holds “pride of place” in the entrance to our studio and woodshop.

My college degree is in Biology/Chemistry but my background is in marketing, advertising and product design which has been very helpful for growing Words with Boards. I love the creativity of our work and the challenge of growing the business from the ground up. 

We are proud to say our products are handcrafted and made in the USA. The materials we use are also of US origin and we support a network of US based suppliers. 

I started Words with Boards because I knew we had a unique product that people would love to give as gifts. What keeps me going is the overwhelming support from our customers.
