Love, love, love the fact that I have the ability now to start the re-listing at an offset time. Thank you for this.

I will try clearing the schedule tomorrow to see how well it works and some of the other features you mentioned are on the new version and let you know how it goes.

I did not see the images being downloaded on the main screen. It also seems to hang up on a listing and I am still not able to access or click that product listing page.

What you should see now at the bottom of the form where the progress bar is are captions stating what listing and count has been uploaded. I'm working on a method by which we can pause or cancel a download in progress; until I'm successful with that you will not be able to access the data if a hang occurs. I actually thought I had this tonight but its more complicated than I thought.

An update which adds more to the batch imaging section. It will now allow images to be put in the last position or position 5 and will show what image is replaced. More to come with this operation ...
Zetsy also now allows during listing download for the operation to be cancelled. This will prevent having to shut the program down during long download operations if needed.

Hello again:

So I've been trying the new feature for the re-listing. The one where when it asks if I want it to clear the current events when you turn off auto relisting. I click yes I do want it to clear it, but I am encountering the following problems with it. First, it isn't clearing the completed time of the last update and it is leaving the check mark next to the product on the completed column. So, let's say I restart the re-listing process a little later and I select a certain time increment, etc. What happens is that it will not start re-listing until it gets to the time that is next to the product that does not yet have a check mark on the completed column. I hope that I am explaining this well. So let's say 10 items were renewed. I stop the renewing process. Then I continue the renewing process later and select the 15 minute time increments. What happens is that the items that had completed from the previous re-list session gets assigned a time to relist for the second re-list session but since it has a completed check mark next to it, it won't re-list. So, what occurs is that it will not re-list any items until it gets to the item that does not have a check mark next to it. Which is quite a bit of wait. What I can do currently is delete all of the completed times and uncheck the check mark under the completed column and then it will start re-listing right away. This is problematic for me because I keep re-listing the same let's say 40 items every time. Ideally, I would love for it to continue where it last left off. Right now, the only way to get it to work is to clear everything and start at the beginning again so the same items that were already re-listed earlier in the day, are being re-listed again. If the software allowed a seller to continue from where it last left off, or better yet have the flexibility to choose a preferred option, that would be awesome. Is this something that would be possible?

I absolutely love the offset start time. This is a fantastic feature. For some reason, it does not have an offset of 1 hour. I find myself needing this often and was wondering if it is easy to add that to it.

I also tried the update feature and it did not work for me. I will give it another try but I will keep you posted. The question I then have for you is say that you update it on the main page of the program, but one has already downloaded all items on the re-listing tab, how would I clear all items from the re-list tab and re-download it on that tab so that the products are current. Right now, I do not see the ability to do that. So, even if I were able to update the products, the re-list tab has old information. It would be great if both tabs were in sync or to have the ability to clear it from the re-list tab easily and re-download it which is a quick process.

First, the easy one. I can do 1 hour as an offset in the next update.
I read through the relisting a few times and then looked at the program. I can have the program clear the completed time and completion checkbox pretty easily. I don't think that is what your asking for though. I think your asking for is what I would call a revolving que. That is the first item to renew on a reschedule would be the first one that had not renewed in the last schedule, The last item to be renewed in the last schedule would the last item to be renewed in the new schedule. Is this making sense and is this what your looking for? If it is not what is different?
The update listing works only when there is a saved database. If you save the database it will then update the listings in the shop listings output. The problem is if an item sells it will no longer be part of the active listings data and will then NOT be updated. This is a flaw in the current download scheme. There are a couple of ways of going after this and I'll let you what I end up with. I want to move more to syncs between the online and local databases ...

I think we might be on the same page but I'm not exactly sure so I am going to give an example to clarify what I mean.

Let's say I ran the re-listing option and the software re-listed items 1-40 on the que. And then I stop the program but intend on continuing later that day or another day. When I re-start the re-listing process, I would like it to continue from where it last ended. For example, I would love it if the software could continue re-listing item 41 on the que. And if I stop it again at item 49 on the que, I would like it to continue from item #50. And so on and so forth. These aren't listing numbers I am writing, just the order of the items on the que waiting to be re-listed. I hope that makes sense. I think we are on the same page but just wanted to be certain.

I look forward to hearing back about what you come up with with the updating stuff.

New version is now available. Bug fixes of transaction download (introduced in the last version) and image updates when images are already present. UI improvements of the main opening page. All listing types can now be downloaded instead of one at a time. Image download selection is now seen on the main page and easily changed (should help in avoiding confusion when full size images are needed). Added some more refinements of the image batch changes. Please forgive the delayed response. I am getting over a horrible flu. First one in over 4 years so it really took me down.

I am still having duplicate listings. It was slow for the last week so it was hard to figure out if the last thing you did helped with the duplicate listing. I am finding several duplicate listings again. This is a big problem for me.

Any thoughts?

You are more than forgiven. I have not had a horrible flu in quite a few years. I take a lot of vitamins now. Don't know if it really works but it seems to keep me healthy. I hope your getting to be fully recovered now.
I am confident that the check works. If a renewal attempt tries to take place a message will be placed in the ecode column. A couple of questions: Are you observing any messages in the ecode column? Are you using a freshly loaded database? (It really shouldn't matter now but ...)
I can't think of a method where a listing can be duplicated now, but I will work on adding more diagnostics. This would be a log file of all of the operations. Is that something would you mind sending me if I implement it this weekend? I confess I'm running out of ideas other than a bug in the Etsy API. I'll keep thinking about other possibilities. I am sorry this is happening

A very happy Friday to you.

I do take vitamins as well. And I've avoided getting sick for a long time but this one really took me down. My husband travels for work quite often so he was the one who got me sick. The funny thing is that he didn't get quite as sick as I did. Just lucky I guess...

In regards to your questions, I am observing messages in the ecode column. And yes, to avoid other problems, I have been using a freshly loaded database except for a couple of days this week when sales were very slow and I was too sick to wait for the entire shop to download. Clear internet has been throttling us so it takes a loooong time to download my shop.

When you say there would be a log file of all of the operations, I could certainly send you that if it would help diagnose the problem. Please give me instructions on how to do that and I will get that off to you.

I am not sure what is causing the duplicates. I have tried to delete all of the duplicates from my shop but there is a possibility that I am not catching them. However, I did not think this was a possibility because when I noticed a couple of the duplicates, they were ones I was sure I had caught and deleted the duplicate the previous day. I will continue to keep an eye and see if I can figure anything on my end. I will also continue to download a fresh database to work from as well.

The other question I had is if it would be possible to download more than just 100 listings at a time. Up until now I've been downloading the entire shop but it would be great to enter like 300 listings for instance to download instead of the entire shop. When I enter that quantity, it seems to revert it to the set 100 listings.

Your husband owes you big time! Glad to hear you better.

The fact your seeing the ecodes is good. That means it is detecting sold or inactive items and preventing a renew. If you look up those marked listings they should NOT be active in your shop. I would check that to make sure, With the checks in place you should not have to redownload the database. If your database is saved and you redownload it now updates the listing status as well. This should be faster. You can also limit the downloads by unchecking the "download all listings". When you do that you should see number and offset. You can control what listings are downloaded by this.
I'm going to add the error log this weekend and I'll let you know more when this is completed.

I hope you are having a good weekend.

I have tried limiting the downloads by unchecking the "download all listings" however when I enter let's say 300 products, it reverts the number to a set 100. With my size of shop, since right now I am mainly using the program for re-listing, it is beneficial for me to be able to download a certain amount of downloads. For instance, it would be great to download just 300-400.

I have not tried saving the database yet mostly because I haven't had time to fiddle around with it. As soon as I have a little more time, I will try that.

Hello there:

I was just checking in with you to see if you got my last convo. I just discovered that I can download 100 items and then select another 100 items and then offset the number by the previous download however it would be so much more convenient to select a set number higher than just the 100. I don't think that I can select more than 100 unless of course I do the entire shop. Is this a quick fix on your end by chance? If not, I completely understand and keep downloading 100 at a time.

It is a quick fix and I've actually done it. I plan on releasing this in a few days. The 100 listing limit comes from the Etsy communication needs (API). When you download more than 100 (the whole shop) it actually does it in groups of 100. Good catch!
I've been working on an error log output which will aid in the future tracking any errors being encountered by users. That is the major item for the next release.

One other thing that I forgot to mention, and I thought it was briefly fixed in one of the updates, is that when I stop the re-list and it asks me to clear everything and still leaves the check marks and the time it was re-listed. I am pretty sure you had fixed that before but now it is leaving both of those items so if I start the same re-list batch, I have to delete the time and un-check the check mark and then I can restart the re-list. I hope that makes sense.

I just uploaded the update. There may be an issue with program updating itself in this version. If it does NOT update goto the control program and roll back the program to the earlier version. Doing that will allow the program to update itself the next round. You can also reinstall the program but you shouldn't have to do that. This version allows any number of listings to download and has a clear que button which does what I think your looking for, Behind the scenes I now have an extensive errorlog - but more about that latter.

Sorry I've been a bit busy so I haven't had a chance to play around to figure out the update. It has not updated and you mentioned to go to the control program and roll back the program to the earlier version. Where would I do that? Is that something I do in my control panel?

Yes. If you go to control panel, find Zetsy and select uninstall. It will then ask if you wish to roll back to a previous state and then select yes. At that point the auto-updates will start working again. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program will also work but I think the roll back is a bit simpler and quicker. An update in late March had the auto install code missing fro some reason. That is fixed now once you get pass the glitch that iy caused..

I was able to successful update the software. Yeah!!!! I will keep you posted after I run it tonight.

I had a question for you in regards to the re-listing aspect of the software. Right now, I download a certain amount of products. I usually will download approx. 200-300 products. Then I go through those 200-300 items and will delete the ones I do not want re-listed for that specific day. A functionality that would be great for a store like mine is the ability to quickly go through those 200-300 items (I will usually select 40 items out of those 200 items to re-list for that day) and select the ones I want re-listed quickly(by putting a check mark or something like that next to the product) and better yet, it would be great to have the functionality to be able to number it in a specific order as well. I'm not even sure if that is something that is feasible right now. Your software is great and in my opinion the best one out there for re-listing. But to also have the functionality to be able to quickly go through a list of let's say 400 items and select the ones I want re-listed and to also put it in a specific order would be absolutely awesome. Right now, I'm bound by the order that I download the items and then I have to go through the entire list and delete the ones I do not want to re-listed for that day. This is restrictive in a lot of ways. I hope that makes sense. Let me know your thoughts on it.

Makes perfect sense. Right now the selected listings are not saved as their own re-loadable table. I think if they were that would take care of most of the things your looking for. I'm still working on my enhanced error log, but I'll take a look at the re-listing que next. My thinking right now is it will not be that hard, but I'll keep you informed of my progress. Thanks for all the great suggestions. Its much appreciated!
