Not working

I can't seem to get this program to work. I wish it would but it seems like every time I try to use it, it doesn't. I updated my prices in zetsy, uploaded them and got a successful message, but looking at my shop, the prices didn't budge.

to make matters worse, I have 191 active listings, it only downloaded 190, and yes I'm connected to the shop. The one that didn't download isn't a huge issue since I wasn't changing that price. But the fact that I just updated over 180 listings and not one changed is annoying.

Re: Not working

Sorry. I've had work related issues to take care of the last day. I believe you are using version 2.9.12 which had a bug that sounded just like the one you described . The latest version is 2.10.21 which others are using successfully (including ourselves). The program should upgrade itself automatically and for some reason it does not appear to be doing this. If you do not get asked to download a new version you may have to re-install. Please let me know if what I described is the case.

Re: Not working

I continue to have issues with tagging batch changes. I can filter for a tag, enter the replacement. have all of the boxes checked to change. In the grid the tags show as being changed. Upon uploading to the shop only a few of the tags are updated, but no errors show.

Re: Not working

Thanks for the error report. As the tags are changed you should see the successful listing ID's flash across the lower n\bottom of the tag form. When this ends it should state the number of successful tag changes which occur. This number come from a reply from Etsy of a successful change. Is this number correct? I will check on my end to see if I can reproduce the problem. If you see any trend of which ones failed that might be helpful.

Re: Not working

Sandy:
Yes, I can see the ID's flashing by as they are updated. In almost every case, the number of successful tag changes is less than the number of tags that are scheduled to be changed. I have yet to have it update all of them completely. It does not give me a list of the ones that failed. I have to go back to etsy and look at the individual listings to determine which ones actually were changed. when I find the ones that failed, I update them individually in Etsy. Kind of defeats the purpose of using the batch system, since I wind up editing each of them individually anyway. in the tagging batch change grid it shows them all as changed, and there is not an error report to tell me which ones failed.

I have not been able to determine any rhyme, trend or reason as to why some of them fail, but it seems that if it hits one that causes an error, the whole upload stops. Not sure about that, but that is what it seems.
Thanks

Re: Not working

Thanks Alan for the info. it was helpful. With that information I was able to find the bug. I'm working on a fix now, but I know it will not go out tonight. I need some time for some additional checks. I'll post here (hopefully tomorrow) that the fix has been uploaded. I wish I could tell you a work around for this - but I can't think of one. The code does tell you when a tag has not been accepted by Etsy - except in the case where it is skipped ( the bug). Thanks again for your help.

Re: Not working

This has become more complicated than I wished and appears to be an internal flaw in the display grid. I'm working on a workaround to the issue and will post here no laer than this Thursday, Dec 6 th. Sorry for any issues this may be causing..

Re: Not working

A much more difficult issue than first thought - but I believe it has been resolved. Another version will be released sortly to further improve the feedback given when batch changes are made. Let me know if you still encounter problems. Thanks again for pointing this out.

Re: Not working

I forgot to mention that the program will update itself with the second program opening. Thus simply open the program, close it, and open it again. This will cause the update message to occur and the program to update. This version i s 2.12.06

Re: Not working

Ok, after receiving an update, zetsy has stopped working. I even un-installed and re-installed trying to get it going again. I get an error trying to download my shop information saying "nullable object must have a value". I have changed nothing in my shop since using zetsy in December when we were going through this once before.....

Re: Not working

I've sent you a convo with more specific info but no changes in the download function occurred with the last update. If anyone else is seeing this issue I would like to know because at the moment I have not been able to replicate it in the testing here. In the meantime I'm going to look to at least handle the error better than it currently is doing. Thanks Alan.

Re: Not working

I was able to use Zetsy earlier today, but now when I try to sync my shop, it gets stuck and I get an error message saying "Nullable object must have a value".

Re: Not working

I've tried several times to sync my shop, with etsy open and with it closed, I've shut down everything and the computer too and started up and tried and I get the same error message. I even tried inactivating the listing it was getting stuck on, and it just got stuck on another one. Please help! :) Thanks! :))

Re: Not working

Thanks for allowing the program to upload the errors. That is always helpful. I believe the program is getting hung up in the shipping template routine. To test this uncheck the <GetShopInfo> in the opening screen and try downloading the shop with this off. This will avoid this problem. I was able to get everything to work from this end when I did this with the limited amount of access that I have. Etsy has been changing the shipping templates and it has caused some hiccups in the program. I'm going to look into the error reports and see if I can troubleshoot from there further. By the way there is no need to close Etsy down when running Etsy. It operates on a completely different level than the web site itself.
Thanks for the bug report. I always learn something from every one of them.

Re: Not working

I'm not sure this is the cause for your errors, but waiting for the shop sync to complete before moving on to other operations is always a good idea. I've been noticing in the error logs from others that errors are occurring which may be attributed to this.
