For those trying or considering trying Zetsy -- it may not seem to be the most user-friendly application to non-techies, but it is extremely powerful and useful once you get the hang of it. Chris has been exceedingly generous in giving his time to create this wonderful FREE program, he's constantly working to improve it, and he is very responsive to issues/suggestions/etc.

Give it a try and don't get frustrated if you have problems or don't understand everything -- just ask for help (you can even message me if you like -- I've been getting pretty familiar with it and I regularly bug Chris if I can't figure something out :) ).

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks Chris!

I completely agree with you Megan. I absolutely love using Zetsy. There is a learning curve but it is fairly easy to use. I might just bug you as well if I encounter any problems. :-)

You're right, in that's it's not user friendly. After several months, I finally sat down to the website's tutorial. Chris got the program working after resolving a technical issue, and I've been exploring. Personally, I find the program AWESOME!

With so many one of a kind things in my shop, I gasped out loud when I clicked on the report and the images and descriptions appeared! Now I can sit with the tons of storage containers and inventory without being stuck to the computer and having to drag everything there.

I do find it difficult to catch on to. I will have more time, in the summer, to give it another shot ... however, I guess I should find some time to start reading up on it more; and perhaps going through this Zetsy Team Site, to see what problems that others have encountered, and conquered, during their time of using Zetsy. From the feedback that I read, the program does sound awesome; why I joined the Team, to begin with.

The running tally for those items should be under the renewal tab which is on the left side of the screen. For this function to work, Zetsy must be running in the background. If you have any other questions just let me know on the team or in a convo. -Chris

I love this program. It does take a bit of time to figure out all the bells and whistles, but it is a complex program that can do some incredible things. Love the ability to do batch tag and shipping changes. I just used it the other day to modify all of my listings. Instead of all day, it took only minutes! Thank you Zetsy!

I put a line in my shop listings manually, "Sale, buy 2, get 1 free" I have been searching my listings and deleting it as I come across them. Every time I think I have them all deleted, someone will click on a listing that will have that line, and then request that free item. I just can't seem to find them all, & This is not something that I want to still offer now. Is there a way with this app that I can use a "search" function for a specific term or sentence that may be located in the listings? I know with the Batch, you can put in new things, but I really would find it helpful to be able to find all of the listings that contain that sentence using that function.
Oh, one more thing, I would love to be able to have all of the e-mail addresses from past customers in some sort of contact list. I don't see anything like that in this app or any other app for that matter. Is that something that might be available at some point? Is this some type of a violation with e-mail accounts? I can't figure out why this isn't available.

Glad to hear the program is working well for you! We're always glad to hear comments about the program and suggestions for new features.
Zetsy already has search functions available, its just not that obvious. I just posted on our blog how to use and access the search functions. I give an example for Titles, but this work with other things as well. I just posted the blog link in a new thread. My intent is to put notifications of new post in this thread. If there are any questions just let me know.
Zetsy actually already downloads the email contact information. Its not easy to get to now and I'll work on making this available in the next week or so. While the customer email contacts are part of the information that is downloaded, there are Etsy rules for contacting past customers. You cannot do anything that would appear as spam and you need the customers permission to be included on a mailing list. I've seen a lot questions and answers related to this on the forums. My advice would be to include something in your receipt about wanting to allow contact in the future.

I have just installed the software and it seems to work well, I have just one question which maybe is a general one. I am on the verge of opening a new shop, is there a way to copy the listings from one shop to the other in Etsy? Is there a possibility to do it with this software maybe?

Hi Stella,

To my knowledge there is no method of copying one shop to another in Etsy,
Zetsy is "close" to being able to doing this. All the listing information is obviously saved and I had worked on the ability to create a listing from scratch. Let me investigate further and get back with you.

HI everyone, I installed Zesty last night:) I was SO excited to find this app and Team:) Thank You Chris...it's brilliant! Ok, so I'm not a techie..ha...question, I am wanting to focus on my item descriptions, Titles, and Tags. Is there a way that I can filter the Sections part of my Shop, separately, and apply different text for all of the above on the section items? I did check out a tutorial , but I'm struggling here:) Thanks ~Catz
