Are any of you being bombarded with spam comments? Within the last two weeks, I've received 100s of spam comments. I know most Blogspot blogs require commenters to type a security word before submitting their comments, but I'd prefer not to do that on my blog. Anyone aware of good plugins to block all or most of the spam? Thanks!

I have only had a few spam comments, and Wordpress has automatically blocked them for me using something called 'Akismet'.

No worries. Be sure to check it, though. Sometimes it 'spams' things that are genuine (only happened once out of 12, so not too bad)

I've installed Akismet and it's worked like a charm - no more annoying spam emails to deal with. Thanks a million!

I am going to have to check that out. I get tons of spam but they dont get published because I have to approve all comments.

Glad I could be of help! I usually have mine so I only have to approve the first time you comment on my blog. After that it's automatically approved.
