New to the team and to wire wrapping!

Hi there everyone! My name is Kay and I opened my Etsy store some months ago!

I've made some very simple wire wrapping pieces but I've been craving something more "intricate" and a tad more challenging then what I've made (which is like super beginner level): https://www.etsy.com/listing/90461814/purple-sea-sediment-and-amethyst-wire

But I can never get my wire to stay neat and straight or to bend just the way I want it to. Any advice? Tutorials? Anything?

Thanks~!

welcome to the team. Go to YouTube and look up stuff. It's been great for me. I also go to the library and take out books. Not that I'm a pro yet, but I'm working on it.

Re: New to the team and to wire wrapping!

I just started as well! I began making wire-wrapped rings as a hobby. my very first 'love' ring got so many compliments that I started making them for friends and family. Now i'm selling them to pay off my student loans.

I get my wire from Michael's Arts and Crafts. Do you guys know of any other places to get cheap but good quality wire?

There are TONS of free tutorials...Google free wire wrapping tutorials, also many bead vendors have lots for free as well as bead magazines online. I have a favorite Blog I subscribe to...this lady is "over the top" for real when it comes to tutorials from others, giveaways, tips and tricks, etc

I also get tutorials from Bobbi...anything I've made from one of her tut's I've sold
