I own an antique store in Tennessee. We already work with Etsy members in selling their merchandise in our store front. Since we are trying to expand beyond just antiques into offering a wide gift selection I am looking for sellers who would be willing to consign items. Our busy season is during the spring/ summer months since we are a lake town. I am looking to add a lot of new stock before May.
Why am I reaching out through Etsy? The Etsy platform is in alignment with our beliefs as well. We refuse to purchase typical wholesale items that are imported and mass created in a factory. We are looking for the true handcrafted goodness offered by Etsy sellers. There is an opportunity for this to develop into a wholesale relationship depending on the success of your goods.
Our consignment rate is low at 75/25. You would specify the price your item would sell at retail. We pay consignors by check monthly if they have reached the $50 minimum in sales. We can also pay by PayPal. Our term limit is 6 months, with the possibility to renegotiate at the end or swap items out for new merchandise. Of course at the end of that time if an agreement cannot be met we will ship all unsold merchandise back to you.
Items of interest include: clothing, accessories, home decor, kids items & toys, and even vintage/antique items.
