The treble clef is one of society's most recognisable symbols. Featuring the artist's signature contrasts and colours, this free-hand interpretation continues to re-invigorate the familiar and question our connection to the established world. It can often seem that our nature is at odds with the impositions and expectations of society. In its heart, the treble clef makes an optimistic comment on the 'true' essence of human-beings.

An anarchic, burst of red is impressed above an emaciated, white, spine-like column in this startling composition. A comment on the striking divergences in our fundamental nature, there is an instinctive quality to the forms and figures on display which capture that opposition. It is reverse painted on glass, in a bid to trap the emotions behind, emotions you can see but cannot feel.
