Awww thanks! :) I really love the way she turned out!! I was having a hard time taking photos of her, because of her large size. I finished my Theda Bara head, and have it posted on my "works in progress" page on my website. I am also in the process of creating a Bette Davis Boudoir Doll in the role of Mildred Rogers in the 1934 film "Of Human Bondage"!!! I am so excited!!! I will also start work on a Clara Bow Boudoir Doll!!!!
Finished my Theda Bara Boudoir Doll!! http://www.etsy.com/listing/86120804/theda-bara-boudoir-doll-ooak-art-doll By most accounts, Theda Bara was the first real (or reel) star. Her persona was created by the studio to make her appear exotic and mysterious and above all marketable. She was actually Theodora Goodman form Chillicothe, but to the movie goers she was Theda Bara, perhaps the original, all time, vamp.
lindapaloma says I sooooo want these. I can't possibly squeeze another pair of lamps into my house. I hope someone else snaps these up before I break down and buy them myself. They are too cool! ___ I have the same issue, and very little self-control when it comes to buying beautiful things!
http://www.etsy.com/listing/90947691/thelma-todd-ooak-art-doll-boudoir-doll She was beautiful, vivacious and fated.... Thelma Todd was known as the "Ice Cream Blonde," and the situation surrounding her death in 1935 is still a mystery today. This fated Faded Rose Boudoir Doll is an overall size of 35" inches.
