Recycle? Upcycle? Refashion? Repurpose?

Hi fellow upcyclers!

I was curious of what you guys think about the different terminologies used to describe the same thing. When I tag my bags, I don't know whether to put "recycle", "upcycle", "refashion" "repurpose"??? I have recently taken out "recycle" because by definition that's not what I'm doing and I can tag another word that describes my bags better but am wondering what potential customers search for. Do they look up "recycled bags" or "refashioned bags"??

What do you guys tag on your products?? Do you feel like one is better than the other?

This gives great food for thought... I like to use eco-friendly since I feel like even though it's more broad it's what I would potentially search for...

recycle

are the most popular

I'll use recycled; remember you are not telling people to recycle but that the preoduct is from recycled material.

wow, this thread is great! i've been wondering about this for a long time. i've always just used upcycled and sometimes use recycle or reclaim in the tags...

I flip flop between recycled/ upcycled/ repourposed and refurbished... I guess it is what i feel like i did more to it ya know
