Welcome to the team. Feel free to start your own threads if you feel something is missing.

With that said let's all introduce ourselves! Please write a little about yourself, your goals and post ONE of your favorite items from your shop.

I'll go first:

My name is Michelle. I run a vintage shop called MichellesAntiquities. I've had some ups and downs so far but I'm really enjoying it here on Etsy. I am married with three chihuahuas: Gizmo, Trinket, and Mocha. My goal in this team is to provide a nice place where people can get advice, promote and feel like part of a team. My goal on Etsy is to generate income so I can support my family.

Re: Introductions

Hi everyone, I'm Sue. I recently opened my shop after I retired. Through the years I was making jewelry as a hobby for friends and family and accumulated a lot of extra beads and such. Well one man's junk is another man's treasure.
So, this shop was created for all those jewelry and craft folks who need a bit of this and a dab of that to add to, or finish a project. Also, I found that so many bead supply shops on ETSY offer large lots and sometimes you only need a few of something. And I try to keep shipping low.
Right now I'm running a 10% OFF $5.00 or more.
So welcome and enjoy.

Re: Introductions

Hi, I'm Laura, and I'm Alaskan grown, and transplanted into the hills of SE Ohio. I love to crochet, and I just opened my Etsy shop on Monday! I'm already over-joyed with the helpfulness, and friendliness of fellow etsy artisans. My goal is to be able to supplement some of my family's income so that I can craft for more than just friends and family, by sharing my love of crafting with others! My shop is small now, but I hope to grow it into several different categories with lots of fun things.

Here is my most recent listing.

Re: Introductions

I'm Christine, I make original, one of a kind jewelry. I used to spend a lot of time in art fairs but the economy isn't cooperating with that right now, so I'm giving Etsy a shot. It's been slow for me but I'm hoping this team will help me get more sales.

Re: Introductions

I am a shy, quiet, southern girl! I love my family! I am an architect. I began my store when the economy tanked several years ago. The slow economy meant lots less work than normal, meaning I had tons more free time in my life than normal, as well as, limited the amount of creativity I used on a daily basis. I began to look for other ways to relieve stress and use my creative energy that was no longer being expended drawing daily. I began by trying to repurpose some stones from older broken jewelry that I could not bear to part with. After discovering I could do something with them, I began to create more jewelry and explore what other materials I could use. I began to receive compliments on my jewelry. This lead to friends requesting items and me making them as presents. So, a simple small repurposing project has turned into a slightly larger one :) !

Thanks for the invite!

Re: Introductions

Hi I'm Sara, currently a stay at home dog mom, gardener and card maker. I started selling handmade and custom cards on Etsy in February. With the spring-like weather, I find plenty of outside projects to keep me busy. Leave a few creative days to cut and fold paper to make cards. Available for custom work, mainly I'm trying to stay on-top of the next upcoming holiday, for theme work.

Re: Introductions

Hi I'm John and I live in Leander, Tx right outside Austin, Tx. After retiring from the State of Texas I explored a variety of interests for several years. Intrigued by some wood turnings seen at a wood carving show, and believing that everyone regardless of talent needs an outlet to express their artistic inclinations, I took a class at Woodcrafters in Austin, Texas in 2009. There I made a birdhouse and a lasting connection with woodturning and the woodturning community. Shortly thereafter I bought a lathe and set it up in a rented storage room in a Port Aransas RV park. There I made bowls and spindles and many mentoring contacts in the coastal bend area as my abilities improved. When we gave up the traveling lifestyle and returned to our home, I built a small shop and bought a better lathe. Now the hobby has become a full-time occupation that fills most days with learning and creating something pretty. I particularly enjoy custom orders for things I have never made before. I am a member of the Coastal Bend Woodturners Association and the Central Texas Woodturners Association. In my opinion all wood is beautiful if only that beauty can be brought out. Wood has a random character that can not be duplicated by anything manmade. I try to expose and highlight that beauty in each of my pieces.

Re: Introductions

Hi My name is Janet. I am a survivor of domestic violence. I am founding an extended stay home for female DV victims who are single and older and need to take some time to find their way back after years of abuse. I have one friend with me now newly arrived from my home town out west. She is special as she is a personal friend who reached out on facebook. She has decided to stay and once healed will be helping me with the haven program! Working at home allows me time to advocate for these women and assist them with such simple things as starting their own checking accounts changing address and filling out legal paperwork for divorce etc. I am self funded in this project. We hope to build up our online business and eventually start one for the program so that our guests can learn how to make some cash from home while learning that they did not lose who they are but rather they were just hiding and they have not lost their wit, intellect and abilities as their abusers would have them believe.
I have always loved milk glass and all vintage glass. It's beautiful, fun and the history can be quite interesting. Living in Rural New England, we have loads of it here! Please visit my other store Grande's Treasures on Etsy for more information and thank you for having such wonderful stores to shop from and admire.

Re: Introductions

Hello! My name is Brenna, and I am fifteen years old. I'm from central New Jersey, but I live in this tiny little town full of farms that seems very out of place. love art, photography and music. Although the opening day for my shop was only today, I've been working on the preparations for it for about five months now. I love interior design, and decorating personal spaces to make them inspiring and fun. In my shop I sell wall art in the form of digital prints. The art is a mixture of illustration, graphic design, and paintings. Here is one of my favorites:
