So having decided to start selling on the tictail marketplace I have finally got around to start my listings.
I've only uploaded 3 so far, but I am already soooooo impressed with this platform. I'd been kind of putting it off as I find adding items to Etsy so labour intensive, but I've managed to do these 3 listings in the time it take me to do about 2/3 of an etsy listing!!
Hurrah for not having to input a billion keywords, attributes or materials each time!
Me likey.
Although, the proof will be whether I get any sales...

Hi Leanne,:) Congrats on your new shop! Yes be sure and share your shop link so we can admire and encourage you < en-courage is such a good word. It takes courage to try new things and then there is consistency, perseverance, and "work" lol! We, each of us, absolutely CAN be successful on our new ventures.

I always tell myself look how much time we always spend dinging around on the Etsy website, and so I am trying to shift some of my focus to this fledgling site. there is no BS here and their mission statement is very clear. Plus the site is a pleasure - the ease of use ...etc, so I totally hear you Leanne!

Also loving your positivity! What often holds me back is trying to decide what to list where. Especially items I only have one of. Just list on one site, take the risk and list on multiple sites? ...... It's a quandary! :0)

Me, I do take the risk on some stuff, keeping track of inventory is a PITA.
I DO have duplicates on different sites and it is a pain in the... well you know!

What is slowing me down is lack of camera right now...not products, those I have lots of. I will be rolling (better) when I solve this issue.

Julie - your miss typing did give me a much needed at the moment chuckle :-D

I am in the process of re-photographing my items and was originally planning on just adding to tictail when done. However, it is turning out that whenever I have some free time to actually take some photos it is always really gloomy out so the light is terrible!! So I may just have to import and then sort out each listing on both sites at the same time.

I am going to take the plunge and list my OOAK jewellery items on both Etsy and Tictail and just keep an eye on both. Ironically I started off with etsy and my own shop and decided it was too much trouble to keep track of them. I feel a new spreadsheet coming on *inner geek cheers and gets excited*

I've taken some time off my part time job next week so I am really hoping I can blast through some of this then...
