So I had an idea I want to run over you guys.
Team points are 1 point to one dollar in credit towards any purchase from the team leaders and captain. Team points will be one of the various prizes given out for the games along with features, and actual items. By becoming a team leader you have a responsibility to accept team points (these will not affect your revenue, dollars will be transferred from me to you via PayPal in exchange for a discount on a reserved item). I take full responsibility over transfer of points into dollars and can promise PayPal money within seven days of request or you will be rewarded. (The PayPal percent fee is not included as it would've occurred anyway however the $0.20 flat fee is)
Confused? As a buyer using team points you won from using challenges, convo me, and the seller you would like to use X amount of points on which listing. Wait for seller to reserve it and apply discount, buy, and you're done. Keep in mind the lowest allowed etsy price is $0.20 and we cannot discount below that. As a leader: you will receive a convo specifying which item you are to discount and how much. Please put "reserved for" in the title and lower price exactly specified amount. Whether you wait for my payment for sale is up to you; you will receive payment within 7 days whether or not sale is completed. If the person does not buy your item within 10 days or so, you may unreserved that listing and move on. That person will have lost their points and you will have money in your pocket and nothing lost. You have nothing to lose.
You cannot use points in smaller increments than 4. That’s at least a $4 discount. You can save them up between events. You will be given at least 2 month’s warning if the points and point system are ever to expire.
As a seller and leader, this will benefit you because it’s like a coupon for your items that you don’t have to sacrifice on. It will set your items apart from other team members. As a team member and participant, this will benefit you because only your participation will translate into points that you can use to get absolutely free or discounted stuff!
That’s the plan, but I want to know what you think. Please answer yea or nay as well as why (if nay) and any questions you have. Keep in mind; if you don’t understand it, you don’t have to play or use your points, I just thought this would be a great incentive for participation, promotion for leaders and fun game for all. Tell me what you think.
