Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

You could try calling your local Post Office and ask for the Post Master and have them look into it or the 800 number. If you call the 800 number call the minute they open, so the wait isn't 2 hours.

I know not all Post Masters are helpful, but mine looked into a couple packages for me granted I live in a small rural area. You could also file the paper work again if it will let you.

i'm in a rural area. they don't answer the phone on saturday. i have to wait until tuesday. i signed up to get updates. not getting any... just keeps saying late.

@vlmkpyae when you sign up for updates, you will only get one when the package tracking has an update, like a scan to show it's moving again.  It's very frustrating when the package just sits in one location for a week or more on a trailer or in a bin waiting to get processed and loaded onto a truck.

Made a small test batch of an egg white bread.  I can't imagine it being edible but I'll find out sometime today.   Since it only uses egg whites, I made a low carb vanilla custard that I'm quite looking forward to sampling.

Got a headache today.  I hope to make parmesan chicken wings for dinner.  I have a prepped salad from the grocery store that I keep forgetting about so that will be the side dish.

it is 2pm on sunday. a whole bunch of idiots keep going by on the highway honking horns. i can't find anything in the news! it's not a sporting event. no wedding party is that long. who are these morons and what happened? it's unnerving.

Seems like there was some big game on today. I'm not a sports person at all but i could hear these people down the street screaming and

laughing and hooting and hollering so i knew it was some big game going on.

lion, i can't find any info and i almost called the cops. i spent an hour trying to research by every key word i could think of! i still can't find anything under sports for yesterday! it really upset me and i want to know what it was. i still have the headache.

Wow.  Cops come out for loud noise?  I once called the police on a loud house party after 11 pm and I was told to write a letter of complaint, that the police don't bother with such things.  Also, every time I've called 911, 3 times, twice for fires, they are always snotty.  I don't ever want to call them in an emergency any more.

Trying to prepare myself to make the chicken wings that I was suppose to make yesterday.   I'll be having that for my first meal of the day.  I'm out of low carb bread, and very sad about it, so no eggs and toast for me, over a week now.   I do love my eggs and toast.

Are you able to make low carb bread?  Is there are shortage of items in your area?

@92shirts  Homemade recipes of low carb bread are not tolerable to me.  Also, they do not toast "correctly".  The commercial ones, or the 2 of the 3 that I tried, use ingreidne4s home cooks can't get and many people would say they are not diet legal but I do much better, now that I finally broke down and paid the extravagant price to try them.  One brand is awful, and tastes like my homemade kind, and I think it uses flax seed, as it tastes awful, and has that silicone sponge texture I hate so much.  That's stuffs in the freezer and I'm not sure how I'll use it up. 

I'm not sure about food shortages.  I'm a shut-in and someone else has  to do the grocery shopping for me, and he's one of those males that doesn't speak, report, or make conversation.  This is the first time in the 2 months that I've been getting this bread, that it's been out.  I could buy a similar bread online but it's much more expensive, due to shipping, and it takes 13 days to arrive, and I don't have any money, and I don't want to charge for it and then pay interest on that charge, so I am hoping the local low carb bread comes back before 13 days.

I don't a life so I report rather mundane things here, just to ... have something to say.  So I'm always complaining, but I don't mean to bring anyone down from my complaining.  I'm just kind of reporting what's on my mind, or what's going on in my day.  Boring but that's all I got to offer at the moment.  If a miracle happens, down the road, I'd love to report that I'm hiking.

Hi peeps- Just wondering if i don't update my old firefox browser by sept 14th, ( cause i'm having computer problems)

Should i just sign into E on google chrome instead? will my "data remain secure " that way until i can fix my problem?

Hi @Lionfishvintage I would try to sign in from chrome now, and see if that same banner is there... but maybe your OS is up to date. I couldn't update my browser until I updated my operating system. Your data will be secure, because you won't be able to log on I believe. Did you search 'update browser' in the main forum? A bunch of conversation on that topic... Crazy that people have to purchase new computers to be able to function.
