It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

I placed an order with a Canadian seller on September 14th and the item still hasn't moved: still at the "label created" stage. Told the seller that I need item by the 5th of October, hubs birthday. It's been two days; she still hasn't responded. I'm so upset. This is cr+p customer service!

did you directly email the seller as well as convo them? what date does your purchase page say it was due to ship/arrive? if you click help does it tell you the eta? you have options.

what is the seller's feedback like? are there complaints of late packages?

 

on the listing itself what is the shipping window?

 

how far away are they? it's only the 26th.  in theory it's not late.

 

if you are really worried use the help request and choose it hasn't arrived yet. then explain you need it soon.

The seller has sold 1460 items and has a review average of 5 stars. I scrolled through the most recent reviews and there are raves about her quick shipping!

I contacted her through her shop and I also sent a help request, two days ago. At your suggestion I emailed her via the email on my receipt. 

ETA is October 2nd but it's coming from Eastern Canada, I am in Los Angeles. Things don't look good. 

I'm angry and disappointed and I let her know in my message! Communication shouldn't be like pulling teeth.

Finally heard from the seller. She said she dropped the item off at the post office on Monday. She thinks it may be lost. At her expense she is sending out another item priority with guaranteed delivery on the 4th of October. Thank goodness! I hope this turns out well.

it may just not be scanning. at least half the packages we are getting from anywhere are not scanning for days to a week.

I was particularly invested in this because Nordstrom cancelled the order of another gift I intended to give hubs, a nice shirt that the website said "2 remaining", I waited and waited for the item to finally ship out then ultimately got an e-mail that my order sold out while being processed. So mad! The last order I purchased from Nordstrom was fulfilled in one day. I'm not going to buy from Nordstrom again. Very disappointed. I know you probably will say "Go to your local store" but it was unavailable there when I placed the order. An omen of things to come?

no, i would not say go to a local store because i have not been in los angeles this century to know what stores are or are not there. i would not shop at a store that did that sort of fraud. ; ( i'm sorry, shame on them!

 

i know alvarado street used to have wonderful shops and you could find amazing clothing there but that was decades ago.  there has to be some place you can find him something nice, even second hand maybe. i hear a lot of richer people cast off clothing barely used to the thrift stores now, or consignment shops. you never know until you look. you still have a few days. i wish you luck.

from reddit. apparently they have so called phantom inventory if it says x number left. these greedos sell it to somebody in the store not online who already paid for it.

 

THEY VALUE IN STORE CUSTOMERS OVER ONLINE.

 

don't patronize them! apparently this is their modus operandi and has been for at least a year or more. find a good store instead! maybe a non chain. screw them. good luck.

if you get the you've been blocked convo error clear the cookies specifically of that day and the day before and it will make you relogin.  you will have lost what you were typing. what seems to be triggering it is bad coding that is treating the text box being used long as something to attack, so anybody who types slowly is screwed by this glitch. sellers reporting they can't send custom order updates, answer questions, etc. basically the bots are treating all of us like garbage. since it is happening to me, without a shop, it will be happening to other buyer only accounts! this is going to radically screw up buying as most don't know to read the bugs forum! it needs to be posted that this is happening to buyer only accounts too and it is infuriating!

OK. Remember when I posted earlier in the year that the Huy Fong folks were saying that their chile crop was coming in off color so there would be a limited supply? We have reached that point in production. If people want some it's best to stock up now to last through next season while there is still a good supply of product.

Oh no.  My thoughts an prayers for their safety. 

I imagine there are a lot of reasons people don't evacuate, but I would be getting the heck out of the state even if I had to stay in my car at a rest area.

PSA. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY HIT A HARD TO SEE OPTION ON PARAMOUNT PLUS YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED FOR A YEAR AT OVER A HUNDRED DOLLARS AND THEY DO NOT REFUND. WARN EVERYBODY YOU KNOW.

i am not who just did this, shadow did. luckily we have not gone grocery shopping this month, and now won't. he said he accidentally bumped the mouse and it somehow hit upgrade. this should be illegal of a site to do!
there are complaints on reddit. a few people were able to get refunded/prorated refunds, but they had to fight and threaten lawyers and the bbb and they all were cancelling not wanting to just revert to month by month. so we are f screwed.

Call the bank or card company you used and complain to them. I had issues with another streaming service over something similar and they wouldn't do anything, but the bank refunded me anyways because the way a lot of them set it is pretty much fraudulent

and abbey, he just decided to leave it and have it paid for a year and not get charged each month because it did turn out to be cheaper in the long run on each monthly charge than it is to pay the original amount, it was just a total peta to have it taken all at once.

 

a chargeback would mean he'd lose the account completely and he doesn't want to do that, plus it's too late now. i would have had to contact the bank sooner.

 

if it is a company you regularly pay our bank would not consider an overcharge to be fraud.

 

the only time our bank ever refunded was when we had an actual fraudulent charge when a website got hacked. that one we got paid back and they went after the hacker.

 

so it's done for now. i was just warning people that this is happening.

unless somebody just mistyped the morons at usps have sent my now 5 days late package to san francisco 3 freaking times! i signed up for alerts by email. i can't report it late until fourteen freaking days from when it was shipped!
