It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

a letter, ie a piece of paper in an envelope with a stamp sent oct 15 form pennsylvania did not arrive in california until today, the 22nd!  and the greedos of the useless sycophantic postal service have already started their bs money grab for the holidays before even freaking halloween! a seller friend said the same package she was going to send her son that was 22 last week but she got delayed, cost 26 dollars today! the same package!  this kind of evil is what took down the roman empire, greed. i am furious. bottom line is it is going to cost you and your buyers more to ship the rest of this godforsaken year so be warned.

when will alleged adults on etsy learn the difference between vintage, retro, and repro? their stupidity is skewing everything. when you type the word vintage in a search it is supposed to actually be freaking vintage! this is the most offensive thing about this place...

I agree.  I wish the listings were checked and held to be accurate or they should be removed.

i have spent 3 days trying to get this place ready for an exterminator walkthrough and i'm exhausted. finally found the hole, up in the ceiling of a cabinet in the kitchen. someone before us had patched it up with aluminum foil! can you freaking believe that? like that was going to block a hole?

i just have no polite words. none.

upstairs keeps hammering in the kitchen and i'm sure that is what shook what's in the ceiling loose. there is no sign they actually breached. no nibbled on foods. just what detritus fell though the compromised foil patch over down into our kitchen. i am not happy at all.

there are. and the handyman patched one but never came back to finish, the exterminator was a no show after 2 days waiting, and we have had hundreds of flies. i killed over a hundred flies today. shadow killed a couple of dozen. i ordered an electric fly swatter, praying it ships soon! it is horrible.

not a joke, a psa. please be safe out there. nazis are bombing ballot drop boxes now. 1 in oregon, 1 in washington this morning, and one tried it in arizona recently.  be sure you get your ballot to where it will be safely counted! the fbi is on today's crimes already but all those poor people will have to start over and vote again.  : (

I voted in person this weekend.  I was afraid that drop boxes might be a targeted and didn't want to risk not having my vote counted if it were to be lost in the mail or damaged in a drop box.

I tell you there are so many shady things going on right now, I have such a bad feeling of what may happen if Trump loses, and fear what will happen if he wins.

There are so many things that terrify me about Trump winning, and the cuts to social security, medicate, heath care and education are going to be devastating to the country  if Trump and Musk have their way. 

I always had faith that common sense would win out, but if Trump wins this election, then without a doubt the patients will be running the asylum.

it is freezing. was able to have boiled eggs. first cooked food in days. i am a slow eater. you have to eat fast and cover everything. the flies are attacking now. they must think we are poll workers.
the heater is up. this is hell o ween.  still no exterminator nor handyman... still waiting.

fly morte count hit about 500 yesterday. today i think most have died off or close. it did not take a 15 minute battle to make coffee. they dropped to single digits. the electric fly swatter will get delivered after they are all gone.

i almost put this in the joke of the day thread but it's real. deranged teenage dumbass steals poli signs from 60 yards. gets caught. what does his mama say? 'they sell for 3 bucks on etsy.' ! no, they sell for 20 bucks because they are real and this jean-ee-yuss has committed a federal offense felony crime and might go to jail.  please share this, it's in the news and i love that they put etsy into it, lol.

the blogspot board i co moderate with 3 others and have for many years has implemented a way the mods can be blocked by regular users, as crazy as that is. it is insane. in 24 years online i have never seen any site, chatroom, board, fora, anything where you can block a mod!

ok, you guys will want to warn other sellers. right now if you browse, logged in or not, on any us shop you get a huge banner directing you to the page where etsy promises to refund if your package is late or not as you expected, etc. literally they tell you to open a case!

even amazon does not do that for late packages anymore! and not everything on amazon can get a refund.

somebody is trying to sabotage etsy as far as i can tell. everybody knows mail is always delayed during the holidays. this literally is putting a rob me sign on every us shop now. i suggest you guys complain on the fora wherever the proper forum for this might be. it is not a bug so it is not for the renamed to tech old bugs forum.  you guys are sitting ducks.

go look for yourself. i don't think ebay does this sort of thing either. i don't know of any site that does since covid to be honest.  i'm just sharing what i'm seeing.

It's real, and Etsy reimburses the customer- sellers don't incur any loss. I am thankful!

In my opinion, and with 13 years experience selling here- the items that get lost are few and far between. I have two shops, and have sold about 7,000 things here on Etsy, and not one has gotten permanently lost. I HAVE purchased things that never arrived- and the sellers disappeared. Etsy refunded me immediately! Very happy!! So, I think this may be a good thing-

I'm interested in purchased a luxe wallet for hubs for Xmas. The first seller I contacted, he was on break for many weeks, when he finally came back, he emailed me letting me know he was back. I asked him a few questions about his item. It's been 5 days, no response. Moved onto another seller. Item price is more expensive, but communication is almost immediate and we're almost good to go regarding my custom order. Why do some sellers seem to have such lousy customer service? Don't people want to make money these days?

no way to know. illness? family issues? too busy with a job in real life? didn't get the message? there are posts about that glitch going both ways. not every convo reaches every buyer or seller.

i was in a convo with a seller i bought from maybe 4 years ago. it was just i caught a typo in a listing of hers i spotted at random and she replied to thank me and...

her reply ended up in my spam! never happened before in over 5 years here! of course it was not spam. i marked it as not spam.

but there are sellers dinged for not answering convo questions and they post they never got the question! in some cases it was in their spam folder!

so you never know, really. go by feedback. if you see recent complaints it's a pattern. if you see normal feedback then maybe the seller missed the message.
