It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular. It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.
You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.
Thoughts?
I would handle it very much like Artbesico. Let them know when their order is scheduled to be shipped and give them the option to cancel if they are unhappy with that date. I've done it many times. Usually, they agree to the date and don't cancel. I really don't think they were trying to be rude either. Sometimes the written word doesn't translate with the same spirit as when it's spoken.
Off topic, I love you shop! You'd never know your items aren't completely metal, lol. So creative!
@GielDesigns @PaperHeadPieces oooh I thought they were metal, amazing =D Yes very creative, must have so much fun making them =]
psa, i can't report this so hopefully some of you can. search is borked. example. sort by relevent got 216 results on a search. but when i set it to lowest first or most recent it says there are only 21 results! please report this! thank you.
ASAP means " as soon as possible." No i don't think they were trying to be rude either.
they weren't, i'm sure. but languages vary and it could seem rude if you don't know.
since nobody is using the covid thread... you must see this brilliant video. a friend found it and shared it with me.
Sill that Mary Poppins remake of very popular scenes/song was fantastic! How darn creative. I bet we are going to be seeing more of these. Thanks so much for sharing girl.
1 of my all time fav movies.
Hate to admit that was a fun song though a serious subject.
Thanks for sharing.
mary, it's sound of music, lol.
lion, it's the first movie i ever saw. at the fox parkside when the movie was new, at least new to that theater.
second was fiddler and third was mary poppins. then we moved to park merced and no longer went to that theater.
lol, Sound of Music is what I meant to say. Come to think of it last week I watched Mary Poppins with 2 of my sisters virtually! Maybe it was still stuck in my head!!!!
That's great!!! Thank you.
PS - I just posted on the Covid thread.
Just came back from a quick trip to the postbox outside the post office. When I stepped outside my house, a couple pushing a pushchair with a baby in it walked past and we greeting with a smile. I missed that, seeing a smile, miss seeing people nod and smile, haven't been able to see that for a long time.
art, i'm happy for you.
That's true. We may smile and people don't even notice because of the famous mask...
Awww... I miss that too.
i hope everyone is staying safe. mail is insanely slow, being rerouted, backed up, and screamable by now.
That's funny you should say that. That has not been my experience. I ordered two items from Etsy and they arrived lightening fast.
Tuesday, February 9th, 2021. Dear diary, I almost screamed like I don't know who. Temperature 4 F... No wonder the furnace is running, running, running. No wonder I wanted to go out and buy a snack, but my husband disagreed.
Ohhh that sounds so cold Ana. Stay in and cozy... That makes 28 degrees here sound warm. Spring is not far away thank goodness! @SwissZahlerArt
I'm not happy with the brutal cold either. I took the trash to the curb this morning and my hair was starting to freeze before I got back inside.
@MilaSmilasDogClothes Yikes! Frozen hair !!
@Lionfishvintage what's even worse than frozen hair is when it's so cold outside that the moisture in your breath freezes instantly causing your nose hair to freeze.
@MilaSmilasDogClothes Every time we go out, we should protect ourselves during winter time. Scientifically prove, the cold air goes to our lungs and makes the heart to work faster, and it could end in death. The exposed body parts / skin like ears, nose, hands, hair suffer with the instant temperature change. Unfortunately, we don't have a cozy fur like some animals, and have to provide it.
@SwissZahlerArt you are correct. I do pretty good at covering up and keep emergency blankets, gloves, boots, etc in the car. I just can't stand the thought of having hat hair at work and skip wearing one.
The next day, the weather is more benevolent today at 18 F. Still, we cannot even cry outside because instead of tears we would have ice cubed.
