Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

Good Lord- this is really real! Shops in NYC are boarding up their windows 'just in case'! It's going to be an interesting few days for sure... Hope everyone remains out of harm's way if things do get out of hand. Do any of you know how the "Klarna" payment option works ?  I did a search, and nothing came up / probably did it wrong LOL 

Does the customer receive their item and then continue with the credit venue?

@Mels. Like Lion just said. Personally, I think Klarna payments ought to be applied to the full balance of items totaling $50.00 or more and NOT just be applied to any item $50 and over. That's gonna exclude a lot of Sellers here. I have only one item that would apply (a wall hanging quilt).

To tell you the truth I'm still not sure that eventually there won't be some kind of backlash to the Seller as this thing rolls out. I guess I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop! Whenever E tells me something is gonna be grrreat to help increase my sales I've learned to not hold my breath!

Hi @MelsMix Yes, what you said. They purchase through Klarna, you get paid in full and ship the item. They pay in whatever installments they want to, directly to Klarna- but like PayPal credit, or any credit cards people use to pay stuff off more slowly, you won't even be aware how they pay, or when they pay off.

@SewNSewSister I believe someone could cart several of your things and pay off the purchase in increments to Klarna. It's a $50+ purchase, not necessarily a $50 single item. From the Etsy handbook: If you use Etsy Payments in your shop and a US buyer’s order value is $50 or more, they’ll see Klarna as an option at checkout.

@Elizabeth. Maybe while reading the info I was not understanding the wording/meaning correctly. But I took it to read an item of $50 or more. I surely do hope you are correct girl. I (among so many) would love to have that option in my shop with the holiday shopping starting. Thanks so much for bringing a smile to my face after a tedious day! Blessings.

Hi Mary @SewNSewSister I just did a quick test. Found a mask seller, selling $10 masks. I added 5 to my cart and Klarna was available. I changed the quantity to 4, and Klarna was grayed out. So anyone is included if the total purchase is $50 or more.

@MelsMix  From what I understand, it works the same as if you bought something on QVC for instance. They have easy pay that you pay in 3 or so installements. But the seller ( QVC) gets paid in full by cc co.

So WE get paid in full .
