Nothing in Particular Thread

It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular.  It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.

You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.

As a complete tangent, anyone seen the latest Etsy TV ad with the stuffed octopus? That octopus is cute. Wish I could remember the seller's name.

your greeting cards are cute.  I like your drawings of the little kids.

I used to dabble a bit in drawing cartoons, but I don't do much of that any more.  I was going to be a graphic artist at one point in my life, but I found out that I had other interests and it turns out that drawing wasn't my niche.

Maybe I'll go back to drawing someday... who knows?

@pigeonplumtree Thank you, I'm rolling out my greeting cards again when I've noticed that there was one particular one that has been selling pretty well. Unfortunately sales were from another site that they give you a very small commission and they keep raising the threshold that I never had got paid for anything. 

You like my drawings of the little kids? =D  I used to do a lot of drawings, that was before I switched to digital illustration. I actually find drawing by hand more satisfactory, it's more free flowing and enjoyable. You can't get the kind of texture and depth of colours on digital illustration. 

Yes I think you should go back to drawing, draw whenever you feel like drawing. I used to have a little sketch book that I would do little drawings of characters. Would love to see some of your drawings =]

I'm actually not that great of an artist, at least I don't think so.  I think I'm better at other things.

But, yes!  I do like your drawings of the kids.  I like big noses.  They look cute!

To me, that is what every cartoon drawing of person needs...  a big nose!

@pigeonplumtree The nose used to be bigger on all the characters, not only people characters but animals too =]  I find myself changing the size of the nose on the illustrations that were done before. If they were hand drawn though then I can't change it after but on digital illustrations I can make changes and refine them. 

Interesting, you and my sister have been the only two people who have said something about the nose of my characters =]

Some posts on the main forum are quite unpleasant to read, I don't understand why certain people often jump in really fast like they are the forum police = \  They make you feel like you shouldn't start a thread asking a question, that you should go search to look at previous threads and posts or go to look on Google. Sometimes they would post links and tell the OP to go read. Why do they post like they are the forum admin. They write like they have authority.

I know exactly what (and probably who) you mean.  I'm always so tempted to ask "What difference does it make?!  Does money come out of your account if a new thread is started?"  I don't get it.

they have their pom pons in a twist over something just about every day. i wouldn't take them personally. sad that etsy fora is the only board on the internet not to have an iggy button. sigh. hang in there and don't let the cheerleaders get to you, art.

@GielDesigns I posted on here before I actually started a thread on the main forum yesterday and I got the same "shutting down" again. What is wrong with these people, it's irritating. I did respond yesterday, just trying to put it right there.  I usually just mental block and ignore them. It annoys me more when I see them "bullying" others.
