It seems like there should be a single thread where team members could just gather and catch up with eachother about nothing in particular. It's nice to have other threads to discuss a particular topic, but would also be nice to have a thread where you could go to see who's around at that moment.
You know, like a never-ending, continuously running thread.
Thoughts?
OMG! I just opened my bedroom door onto the landing, saw something totally weird climbing up the window frame and just stood there trying to work out what it was coz at first I thought it was a spider carrying something. Then it changed angle, flopped onto the wall and it turned out to be a huge, furry, bulbous bodied moth
Someone really needs to tell those things that summer's over!!!
Quite right! You tell it. (I'm petrified of giant, bulbous bodied moths!)
*Shudder* I hope it flew right out the window!
@psych62 I think it might have met a rather gruesome end......there was a moth caught in a spiderweb on my window this morning, along with a couple of other little beasties
I'd vacuum them up but I'm actually worried the spider would leap out in anger, as I well might if a random started tidying up in my larder!
it is a beautiful holiday morning in the very southwest.
be well and take care
So my point is.... it has everything to do with cookies. Everything. Yes, everything.
Hey! These lung sounds are very soothing!
Last call for lung sounds.....
going once... going twice.....
I had to go to my GP this morning, which is annoying coz it's a massive time suck when it's just for a meds review which I don't think I need but apparently they do
So anyway the doctor was running late and I was stuck waiting for 40 minutes with a woman to my left hacking up a lung, a devil kid behind me SCREAMING relentlessly and a girl I thought I recognised from school but wasn't sure if it was her or not, but I was trying desperately not to be noticed by her as a waiting room is the worst place for awkward small talk
I relayed all this to mum when I got back as she and dad had been there earlier this morning (we coincidentally had got appointments on the same day!) And she smugly told me that they'd only had to wait 15 minutes and there were no screaming kids
Tsssssss!
Isn't that always the way? Luckily for me, when I went to see the doctor last Friday, there weren't any children there. That made it so much easier. But, when I sent for my x-rays, an older lady began talking to me. It was fine and I didn't mind, as she seemed to be quite nice. But anyway, she showed me her set of false teeth that she had in her purse!
Ewwwww!!!!
Lol, what did you say?!
She was so enthusiastic about them, that I had to tell her that they were very nice. Then I was called in for my x-ray. Saved!
I try to get the first appointment of the morning with my doctors whenever I can. It doesn't guarantee that the doctor won't run late getting to the office but it at least avoids the issue of running behind schedule.
@psych62 Hope you are ok
Here getting a doctor appointment is not easy, we have to queue outside before they open. We can only get an appointment booked for the day, not in advance and they won't accept you calling in to make an appointment. They will then ask you at the counter what your problem is, why you need an appointment and they will decide whether to let you see the doctor or the nurse. It's not a good system = \
I haven't stopped sneezing whole day, I haven't had a cold for some time now, almost forgot how it feels like having a cold. I'm not sure though if this is a cold or allergy. My eyes are very tired now, I'm looking forward to bedtime.
If you are just sneezing, it's probably just an allergy.
Most of the time (not always) but most of the time, when you are coming down with a cold, you'll feel it in your throat. That being said, sometimes an allergy can do that to you as well!
Are you feeling a little shaky today? Did your breakfast taste good?
Oh, I hope you are feeling better soon. Make yourself a nice cup of tea with a teaspoon of honey in it. That will make you feel better.
@pigeonplumtree It's probably allergy, weather has been a bit unstable lately, sunny hot one minute and rain comes next minute. It's been raining whole day today but it doesn't clear the air, it feels muddy and stuffy.
I'm not feeling shaky but runny nose due to sneezing and eyes feel funny. I had a migraine yesterday, maybe it started yesterday already. I didn't have breakfast, wasn't hungry = |
Thanks, I've just taken a dose off All in One, I thought I had honey to add in it to take away the bitterness but couldn't find honey, I thought I had some left in the cupboard, nope.
Those allergies can be very sneaky. If your eyes are irritated, no doubt there is pollen in the air from weeds or something. This is the time of year for it!
I hope you can have just a little something to eat. Maybe some nice buttered toast and a fruit?
I think my wheezing and coughing must be due to bad allergies. But it seems to be lessening now that I've been puffing 4 puffs a day.
@pigeonplumtree I hope your wheezing will stop soon
oh, yuck! I was looking at images of sinus x-rays.
Mine would have looked just as icky. But, I just have to see them!
They look like pictures of aliens.
good luck, pigeon.
Did you google one? Aren't they icky?
