Whoops! i posted this in the wrong place - haha! :-D
lol, without even thinking, I find it funny how similar some of our treasuries are tonight. I made a green one, green is popular. I made a rainbow one, looks like great minds think alike. ;-)
Tonight's theme is definitely all about spring, rainbows and greens. I love it! lol
Our pool isn't open now, but we have a black lab that uses the pool more than anyone spring through Fall. He'll just go over and go for a swim to cool off several times a day! He is always on "frog patrol" - will find them if they wander in, grab them in his mouth and swim out with them and spit them out in the yard. They have a 50/50 chance of survival when he gets them! I do love my pool - reading a book on a float in the pool is my ultimate relaxation. Will be teaching my new Granddaughter to swim this summer. BTW Duke is losing the BB game at the moment.
We have a small pool that came with the house. I wasn't looking for a place with a pool, in fact, I preferred not to have one because I thought it would be a PITA and expensive. Plus, most we saw took up the entire back yard.
This one isn't bad. It's a 24x12 above ground rectangle that the previous owners built a deck around that attaches to the house. Last summer, I really got into swimming. It's a great pool! Now I don't know how I ever lived without one in these hot Maryland summers.
It's mostly shaded because we have trees and plenty of yard around it to where it's fine to have it take up some room. I like that it's 4 ft across, so it's safe for my son to swim in it.
okay kids are settled down everyone is on a gaming system. I am starting to start all the treasuries everyone was so kind and caring to include me in. I truly feel honored.
as for the big news, I don't know who saw it, but I took first place in a charity 10k this morning for my age group. If there had been anyone else in my age I probably would have taken second. I was running a mile every 10 mins and 32 seconds. I felt good until well now. Its hitting, that I did over 6 miles at a fast pace.
thanks diana! It meant a lot to me too cause i normally run 1 hr 10 minutes and I took first place which I was not expecting by any means. seriously, all I get is a thank you t-shirt and food for afterwards.
