Chocolate..hmmm...but going to try and be good now and lose some weight!!

Sorry I've been AWOL. I'm still recovering from my birthday weekend. Rhod Gilbert was hilarious.
We had a very cultural weekend visiting galleries. My daughter got press passes to go to the Damien Hirst at the Tate Modern. We had not afternoon tea at the Oxo Tower. My daughters know me so well. I'd asked to go there but they said I'd been too naughty. They'd already booked it, a Medley of desserts and cocktails. And yes, I had the chocolate option.

Still trying to get myself organised and back into the routine. Got my boxes of fabric back from Laura's (she's very glad her mother is home!! ) and must get to cutting out and making tomorrow. Hubby is out at a meeting on Thursday so I am going to have a really good sewing day and try and build up our stock.

Took the dogs to our vets yesterday and he said that they have kennel cough! Apparently it's rife around here at the moment, so Smudge obviously caught it before we went away and incubated it. Both dogs have been vaccinated against it, but it's like the flu and different strains abound. They are both on another lot of antibiotics but looking so much better now.

Going to go and have a sit down now......let us know how you get on tomorrow Karen :)

Karen, that's so exciting. You've got to let us know!
Rhos was so funny. He did a bit about the Red Hen chain of restaurants that used to be at motorway services. A tirade about how filthy and disgusting they were. My two laughed until they cried.
When they were young and Sarn services was shiny and new I used to take them to the Red Hen for cherry waffles and ice cream. Now it seems like punishment!

Evening everyone.....dogs are much better today, much like their old selves :)

Going to sit down tonight and crochet a pumpkin hat! I've already made the Cocoon to go with it. Mind you it feels more like Autumn here at the moment..lol.

Hi everyone! So nice to see some glorious weather for once! I hope you're all well
I'm sorry that it has been awhile since I have popped in to say hello. I only seem to have time to make flying visits to etsy at the moment. It's a busy time of year for hubby - being a musician (lots of wedding gigs etc). He's also helping a local builder to restore a wonderful sixteenth century house here in Gwynedd (dates to circa 1580 I believe) - so he is working long hours while the weather is fine.

That leaves me to sort out all the domestic chores - children and pets mostly (including two stray kittens who need to be exercised at different times to the dogs!)
Sarah's bunnies seem so much easier!!

I had hoped to pop in to wish you a happy birthday Cat. Remember, we share a birthday?! But I was out for most of the day - and spent most of the evening on the telephone - before settling down with a bottle of wine!

Congrats on your wonderful news Karen. I always wanted a girl - but had two wonderful boys instead (once they actually arrive, you really don't care what sex they are!). Though my eldest son, when he was little, really liked pink. He always used to fight the girls for the pink crayons at nursery school!!

I have a few chores to do this afternoon but will be popping in again later to catch up with all your recent posts. It's nice to see what you're all up to!

I have spent the afternoon visiting with my son and his wife and my latest grandson William.....he is so smiley and happy he just makes you feel the same:)

I think I've sorted my computer problem with a cool mat. Even though the double fan is noisy it's still better then buying a new computer.

The only thing I went out & bought straight away was a pink travel system so if nothing else she will be traveling in style.

We still cannot agree on a name it is exhausting & a little upsetting at times but I just call her my little cherry.

Cat, have you thought of cleaning the fan etc in your computer...often dust is the reason for noise/overheating...just a thought :-)

Happy belated ladies! - I'm spending the afternoon getting a birthday meal together for hubbie for tonight- which is fun. Contemplating a big banner for him on the front door...but that would just be cruel I think!

Sorry to hear you not been well Gwyneth- hope you doing OK. I'm still not back to full speed yet and the dreary weather is not helping!

Seen a lot of Christmas stuff on Etsy...should I be drawing snow capped mountains and santas now? Perhaps rainy day scenes and puddles be more appropriate!
