Congrats on the sale, my views are tiny today, but that's ok cause today is get organised day and then be ready to hit the ground running! Got an email with pics a friend took for me which look pretty good so gonna be uploading some of them soon and going to be all guns blazing next week once cookson opens again and I can get more silver!

Personally 2011 sucked, so I'm not allowing 2012 to go the same way! It''s going to be a great one! For all of us!

Hey guys I have a vague recollection of there being somewhere on etsy that you could request items, and that we could go in and say oh I can make this for £x. Am I gone dotty in my old age? Cause I can't find it for the life of me at the moment!

Hi Leanne and Gayle - good to see you here. I left you a message on the 'new members' thread. Great shops!

Sarah-Jane - no, you're not going dotty!! Etsy did away with Alchemy some time ago (at the same time that a lot of other changes were made - many of them equally inexplicable!). I don't think there are plans to bring it back.

However, there is a new team here somewhere that deals with custom orders. I'll be back soon with the link.

Lots of sellers are pretty despondent about the loss of Alchemy. For many, it was a large part of their business. It disappeared about the same time that the old public forum was disbanded and everyone had to join teams instead.

Etsy certainly isn't what it used to be. But we have to either 'roll with the punches', as it were - and adapt - or throw the towel in. I think that I will have to diversity and sell on other platforms too. My business was picking up really well on etsy until all the changes that took place back in May - when my business just fell off a cliff! Things are starting to pick up again now, but it still isn't what it used to be prior to last May. I'm just trying to experiment now with different options to see what works best for me.

I thing that 'comparing notes' here also helps .. and keeping each other buoyant!

Good morning everyone....just wanted to let you know that our grandchild has finally arrived......baby William was born at 12.54 am 3rd January weighing in at a tiny 5lb 6oz!!! Mother and baby doing well and I'm hoping to go and see him today for my first cwtch!!!

Lovely magnets!
Going to get some of my drawings professionally scanned this week. It's an expense but only way to preserve the originals once sold. Do it myself for A4 but have A3 Caerphilly Castle and Keep at Cardiff Castle drawings I need doing before they are framed.

Lovely magnets Cariad. I took a peek at your shop and you have added some really pretty items since I last looked.

It's such a shame that you have to part with your original works Gayle. That's the worst of being a professional artist, isn't it? I'm sure you must get attached to each and every one.

The wind is bitterly cold here at the moment and I'm sitting on the landing (where my computer is parked) in three layers of clothing. There seem to be draughts everywhere. I may have to go to bed just to get warm!
