Lots of lovely new listings ladies, have favourited them all. Well done on the sale Sarah :)

Trip to London today has been cancelled because hubby has been up all night (and so have I..!!!!) with a hot swollen knee and this morning he cant weight bear on it without making A LOT OF NOISE!!!!! So I am home, without my dogs, because they are still with the lady who looks after them when we are away.

Had a long afternoon in the hospital yesterday about my aches and pains. The Rheumatologist I saw thinks the pain and swelling in my hand may be related to my diabetes, even though I am only diet controlled and the pain in my feet might also be the same....so I had X-Rays yesterday, blood tests planned for tomorrow and in a couple of weeks an MRI scan of my feet and ankles...phew!

As a consequence of this I think it is about time I took my diabetes seriously and took a good look at my diet and possibly GO on a diet!!!! Just wish I didn't love chocolate so much :( :(

Ooh and the pain in my elbows is Tennis Elbow, which she think is probably down to my two beautiful, but big, labradors pulling me when they are on the lead :( I tell you ladies I'm falling apart...lol.

Could be worse I suppose, at least the sun is shining again..and today I am going to tackle the accounts for Laura...woopie!!!

(hugs) Kim. I'm sure your hubby will explain that men feel pain in a different way. Even slight pain has a debilitating effect on them. This is why women have babies. A man's body couldn't cope with the pain!!

Poor you though. It sounds awful. It's bad enough going through that without having to listen somebody else's groans!

Anyone know exactly when the postage rates are rising? I've just heard "the latter half of April"....
At least anyone buying can see the P+P separately and know that it isn't our fault!!

I like the pics Cat the flowers add some interest to them, I was wondering about mine & whether they were a bit boring but I suppose I just want people to see exactly what they are buying I dunno.

Sorry to hear of your aches & pains Kim, do you take cod liver oil? Good for the joints & also the heart & circulation might be good for your tennis elbow anyway.

Overseas postage has gone up this end I sold a tie dye to the Netherlands & had $7 postage as of last years raise & it cost me $8.50 in the end I might get the hang of it eventually eh?

Kim my mam had golfers elbow from throwing the ball for the dog! Pets are hazardous to your health! Hope you're feeling better soon, have you checked out forks over knives? I've just ordered the dvd and book will prob have the book tomorrow but dvd is coming from the states so god knows when, but might be worth a look for you. Good luck dealing with a sick man too!

I talked to the woman in the post office today and I think its the 30th, but they haven't been told the international prices or anything yet.

Cannot get motivated today! Going to do some yoga and go for a walk in the park!

Thanks for your comments on the photos. Members of another team didn't like the flowers. I wasn't really sure.
I posted photos of my cushion cover on Flickr and today the one without flowers was chosen for Explore. I suppose that says it all.
I'm well chuffed. My daughter who is a photographer has never had one of her photos chosen. Not that I'd mention it of course!

Cat- I think you work is so lovely it doesn't need anything else but I think you are brave to experiment - it's important to try need ideas and things. As I can't really do that much with my work I can really lead by example!Congrats on the flickr explore! Not sure what that is though LOL! Only just getting to grips with twitter.
On our wood4tt facebook page someone liked us and then is saying on his profile that we are his employer! I have reported it to FB but his status has not changed! BIt scary! Anyone else had similar problems?

Hello everyone...a novice on here so bear with me!
Gwyneth...I have just printed off the new postal prices they are on the Royal Mail website.

Kim...just a thought regarding your aches and pains. Does the pain go away if you take Ibobrufen or other anti inflammatories? I recently thought that I has rheumatoid arthritis...the pain started in my shoulder then the other one, then my elbow until every joint was affected over the course of a week. I had scans, blood tests etc....but in the meantime ibobrufen took the pain completely away, so it wasn't arthritis at all. It was actually my immune system going haywire after completing it's mission of curing a cold it then must have thought...well what else can we attack? and it started on my bones...all sorted now apparently something to do with my age!!!! but it is amazing what information can be gleaned from a simple blood test...so good luck with that...we musn't be in pain..too much creating to be done...Sandra

Good afternoon everyone...been for my blood tests, MRI after Easter and then back to the consultant... so hopefully be sorted then :) @ Sarah..just been looking into the fork over knives thing, and I agree that we are what we eat and my diet has involved more meat over the last 10 years than it did the previous 10...so might have a closer look at that.

Welcome Sandra...love your shop:) When I really ache I take a combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol and these takes the edge off, but it's funny how you learn to get used to pain....

Loving this weather, although they say it is going to change at the weekend :( Spent all yesterday afternoon doing Laura's accounts and hated every moment, still haven't finished and need to print off lots more invoices to sort it....I'd much rather be sitting in the sun though..

Had a lot very productive day. I'm trying to sew up a blanket but I'm having a mental block over some of the .. blocks. I keep joining the same colours together instead of alternates.
I've had to walk away from it. Wine and Inspector Montalbano on BBC4. Bliss!

Happy April everyone. Had a beautiful day learning needle felting in Manchester today with a coffee break sat out in the sun. Now I'm home and it's clouded over - typical.

Hi Yvonne. I'd love to try needle felting but it will have to stay on my list for a while.
It's still sunny here but really chilly. I've spent the day sewing up my blanket and now I've got thousands of end to sew in.
Can you believe they've forecasted snow for next week?

The needle felting was something that I've never really wanted to try but I'm really getting into felting and so I wanted to learn the new technique. Whilst there though, she let it slip that she had space on the bootie course she runs tomorrow. Guess where I'm going tomorrow - lol

The blanket is for the shop. I'm not starting anything new until after the holiday but I've still got WIPs.
I'm doing a dyeing course at Wonderwool later this month. It's something I've been wanting to do for ages but doing an actual course will give me the kick I need.
Another team that I'm a member of has a monthly art challenge. This month's theme is timelessness. I might do something different from crochet but not sure what yet.

Good morning everyone.....need to have a busy day ironing today because the pile is getting too high to hide!!!!!

House for sale sign went up on Friday, so we shall see how things go...this means I need to keep on top of my housework to in case we do get any viewings :(

Had a fairly productive weekend - made an apron dress for a baby - finished a photo prop wrap and I'm sure there were other things but memory fails me...

Like the idea of learning to felt Yvonne, but am trying to do too many things at the mo as it is! I saw a mention of the Wonderwool event recently Cat...I think I might go a bit crazy if I was let loose amongst all that yarn!!!!!

Anyway...off to do chores.. oh I remember what else I did...I finished off the little owl toy I made for Baby William for Easter. Just need Laura to make me a bib to match and then I can get it in the post. I'll see if I can get a photo of it later..

Morning all!
Yes, Kim, it's a big temptation. In the past I've gone up with a plan and avoided anything that didn't fit in. Organics only and believe me it was very limiting.
There are certain yarns I can't use. Angora, mohair and anything with loose fibres are out because they trigger my asthma. I have to bypass the lovely bunnies and goats.
This year I'll be concentrating on undyed organics and acid dyes. Oh and coffee and the lovely grub!

Cat I'm so jealous - I wanted to go to Wonderwool but it's just too far without a stop over and I'm all out of pennies at the moment. I'm going to go to the Woolfest though as my parents have a place near there that I can stop at for the night. I'm with you, can't go near bunnies at all.

Kim - good luck with the house sale, I guess huge ironing piles can't hang around. I've given up with my ironing pile - I can't see the bottom of it anymore and haven't for far too long lol.

Sarah - I love the dinosaur. He's really cute. As a geology student I have to say that's a very interesting rock that you've got as a prop :-)
