Sarah, where did you get your fossils from? My OH did his Phd mapping the Heritage Coast from Lavernock to Ogmore. Many an hour I spent with rulers standing against Lower Liasic beds while he took photos. Not of me I hasten to add - of rocks!
You want fossils, I've got a garage full of them!

Didn't realise your OH was a Geologist, we're taking over!

We got some corals from Oghmore near the carpark, we went with a group from the museum helping out myself and the boy. Great ammonoids and gryphea up near Penarth, but I don't know the names of any of the places.

Lavernock Point starts at the west end of Penarth. I was fed up of seeing the place at the end. I think he measured every bed.
He used to work in the Museum when Mick Basset was there.
My daughter has got a fossil named after her. Don't remember what it is though.

I've just come back from a great night of music at the local pub . Not Welsh I'm afraid - despite it being our patron saint's day! Irish mostly. My OH is a traditional Irish musician (fiddle) and my son is following in his footsteps (on banjo) - so it's nice for them to be able to get out occasionally and play with other musicians. OH does wedding gigs - so we hope that by the summer our son will be sufficiently well rehearsed to be able to join him.

It has been nice seeing so many St David's treasuries. No doubt we 'Welshies' will sink into oblivion again tomorrow!

It was only after I had completed mine that I remembered about your lovespoon embroidery Cat. Sorry that I forgot to include it.

it's sounds like a great evening. I wish had been there instead of undoing all the knitting that I did in the afternoon. I hate making mistakes.

Off to Cardiff for a girlie day with my daughter then the hairdresser. Back tonight for drinks with friends. I might have a headache tomorrow.

Good morning all...don't know what the weather is going to decide to do today, but I'm off for a long walk with one of my dogs, the other is still on lead walks only :( , and Laura and her puppy. So need to pull my finger out and get organised.

Sounds like you had a good night 'Sewmuch..'. Hubby is getting better at last. I had the Dr. out again and this time they gave him antibiotics as they think he possibly has a water infection (not so sure about that.....), but whatever it was it seems to be on the retreat now. One of hubby's daughters is arriving for the weekend tomorrow, so I need to get cleaning!

I finished that blanket last night (the order for the lady who couldn't make up her mind!!!). Now I just need to tidy up all my yarn joins, which is a bit I hate, feed ribbon through both ends and pack it and SEND IT !!!! yay......I want to get back to crocheting my hats. I've got loads of new patterns and ideas and it has all been on stop whilst I have been dealing with this woman. But lesson learnt and never again.......

Still waiting for one very important box of supplies for arrive from the US :( Not sure what I am going to do if they don't arrive by Monday. Think I might have to de-activate all the listings containing them and just keep my fingers crossed...

Anyway off to shower now. I will pop back in later.

It sounds as though everyone had a busy Saint David's day.

My evening was spent making welsh cakes with my daughter, which is a rare treat because, being 16, she usually prefers to be out with friends or chatting on Facebook.

So when our welshcakes were ready, we curled up and watched tv.
Thinking about it now, it would have been nice to watch something traditional like How Green was My Valley, I love that film.

Am going to have a cup of tea and one of last nights welsh cakes now.

everyone looks like they have been very busy..

Im still working on my birds.. got an order from a shop near to me so we will see how they do. Im also making wee cards so Ill pot them on here too.

Its my birthday tomorrow but Im teaching most of the day but hope to have nice meal and a glass of wine later today in advance!!

Have a lovely. lovely birthday- it was my dad's yesterday and I bought him a hedgehog house LOL he loves it!

I did search ads on and off for a week at a time when I first started. It did increase my views and likes- I went for the 5 dollar a week limit.
You have to be quite good with tags/keywords so think I could have done better if I had them more focussed and sorted. Hope that helps!

Some lovely listings and re-lists- fav'd them all!

A day of DIY over for me at last! OMG and we had snow today!!

Hey guys,

I've had a horrible weekend, been in the Heath the whole time. I'm ok now but they kept me in two nights mostly on accounts of loosing my Ultrasound for a day and a half! Woohoo!

Have come home to a sale though :) will try get that sorted out tomorrow.

I have a friend in Cardiff with a LOT of material and wool going for reasonable price if anyone is interested as well as 4 industrial size sewing machines going which are in Newtown at the moment. Message me and I'll give you his email if anyone is interested?
