We'll I have been working up to a St Davids treasury- but lost the lot as battery ran out! So tried a Mom's day one:

I've just left my two cents about the whole st davids day thing on that thread I'm sure I'm about to get attacked! But considering St Davids Day is hardly a thing here in Wales whereas St Patricks day is a bank holiday and known across the world, I don't really find it so outrageous that etsy haven't mentioned it.

It would be nice if they did, but I can hardly blame them.

Lovely treasuries I have faved & tweeted them for you & I don't know if you knew but Mother's day in the States is in May so you may get more USA FP action making those treasuries then but they are lovely none the less x

In some areas of Wales it is a big thing but I can understand the whole US St Pat's day. You'd think everyone in New York is Irish!

Thank you for you input Sarah, but I don't know how you can say that nothing really happens in Wales for St Davids day??

ALL The children in ALL The schools in our area dress up as welsh ladies, miners or rugby players

in our village we have a St Davids day concert every year

and there a numerous events held all over Wales

Finally no one is complaining about St Patricks day being celebrated, i think it should be but also think that all the others should be too

Can I add that the only reason 1 March is not a Bank Holiday is that the UK government won't allow it. The Assembly has petitioned for it for years.

still working away ..got some requests from a coupe of Galleries fro my textile work, however my hands are all stiff from all the needlefelting so not sure I can do lots of birds now as its really sore. Thanks for all the links, Yvonne. I had a quick look at the blog last night. it all looks good. I might take I trip to Abergavenny to the next fair.
I wish there were more small craft fairs around the country. The price of stalls at some fairs is really off putting particularly at a time when people aren't spending money.

Lovely treasury Haunted Attic- fav'd and will spread the St D word.
Craft fairs aren't something that I've really ever done- I have memries as a teenager standing in dusty halls of a weekend and selling nothing! I'm guessing they may be a little more sophisticated now LOL! My work is not really craft I guess :(

Yesterday I had a good clean out and sort out of my workroom (well, mostly because Laura came round and saw it, consider my hand well and truly smacked!!!) Sometimes I wonder who is the mother and who is the daughter around here ... lol. Anyway she wants to re-photograph everything in the shop, mostly because she is also sorting out her own website and that means I have to cut out one of everything we have so she can make it and photograph it!!!!! Apparently I don't have enough to do!! So I have my work cut out this week, going to be fun.

Hubby still ill and I'm finding it hard catering for his needs and everyone else's at the moment....ooh dear sounds like I'm feeling sorry for myself, WELL I AM!

Right, rant over, I shall now get on with my day. At least the sun is shining :)

I love craft fairs, but If you fancy going to a lovely vintage fair, (as a buyer rather than a seller I might add, as the stall prices are a bit on the steep side)
I can recommend one which is taking place in Swansea Museum on St Patricks Day (March 17th).

OMG!!! I've got to tell someone because I think I'm going to explode!
Somebody in Hong Kong has just bought two of my blankets and two other items. My most expensive blanket has been bought.
To think last week I was feeling guilty because somebody wanted it and couldn't afford it!

Cat: Wow o Wow great news Cat what a difference a few days can make.
I don't know if you have sent anything to HK before- but would definitely recommend that you 'track' it or similar if possible.
We posted a lot of items to and from there in the past as my Dad worked out there. Never had any problems-except they can get held in customs for ages if sent overland.

Thanks Gayle.Me being paranoid! All's well. She's got in touch to confirm her address. I'll defo be sending it International Signed For because of the value. It will be impossible to make another blanket like it because the cotton has been discontinued.
