I live in northern Iowa and own a small doll shop that travels to anime/geek conventions. Last year I decided to leave my job so I can focus more on my shop and spend more time with my kids. My family is such a joy for me and they always show appreciation and excitement for my jewelry/accessories. They really motivate me.
My sister is so artistic. She loves animals and you see it in the eyes and expressions of the cute little creatures she makes. She does wonders with polymer clay. I'm so proud to include her items in my Etsy shop.
My inspirations are Japanese traditional and pop culture as well as the costumes of the geek/fantasy world.
Recently I have been creating items with authentic arrowheads. My dad always hunts for them in the fields of the surrounding area and I appreciate all the patience and focus it takes. I've always loved seeing what he brings home.
