Good morning. Hoping today will be a better day. I'm also very disappointed I got no show prep done Sunday or Monday when that was my only goal.

Now that the holiday is over I need to really kick off my work month. I'm heading to NC on the 25th so I need to really try to be productive early this month.

Some quotes:

Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.
Warren Buffett

The more generous we are, the more joyous we become. The more cooperative we are, the more valuable we become. The more enthusiastic we are, the more productive we become. The more serving we are, the more prosperous we become.
William Arthur Ward

Times of great calamity and confusion have been productive for the greatest minds. The purest ore is produced from the hottest furnace. The brightest thunder-bolt is elicited from the darkest storm.
Charles Caleb Colton

Worrying about the past or the future isn't productive. When you start chastising yourself for past mistakes, or seeing disaster around every corner, stop and take a breath and ask yourself what you can do right now to succeed.
Harvey Mackay

Have a great day everyone!

Re: THAT Daily Chat 9/5/17 - nowhere to go but up

Good morning Jen. Well, you had quite a day yesterday. Your poor bunny, I sure hope she's better today. I don't know if I could deal with that but I suppose if something similar were to happen to Brynn I'd be right there. But did sound like a pretty messy day.

Sorry about missing your grandma's event. There are times when it's so hard to keep track of everything on the calendar. I do phone alerts for everything because it's so easy to forget. Hope she wasn't too disappointed, but I know you were.

Sorry I never made it back on yesterday. After the gym, we ate lunch, I showered and we headed out to get a new printer. Came home, went to the bathroom and headed to the grocery store to at least stock up on water and dog food before the run starts for supplies. By the time I got home, I was exhausted and tried to lay down for a bit. No luck there.

Deb, thanks for your offer of help on the bag. Sorry about the quality of the video I sent you. It was a little harder than I thought it would be with my iPad. Should have used the phone. At any rate, I look forward to hearing from you today. I did spend last night taking the zipper out and the bag apart so at least that much would be done for today.

Last night Brynn wouldn't walk at all. Something had spooked her earlier in the evening and she just refused to walk at all. Very unlike her. Got a little worried because walking is her favorite thing to do. She was fine this morning so whatever it was, she was over it. Whew!

This morning I'll be heading back to the store (different grocery) to get the rest of our supplies and then home to tackle that bag again. Irma is making me nervous. If she heads up this coast, we'll be headed to Taylor's in Orlando. Already trying to figure out what I'll need to take with me, but praying I won't need to.

Jen, all of the quotes are great this morning! You did good girl. Hope you have a very productive day.

Pat, I was watching the news this morning and thought of you. Praying Irma misses you.

Well I didn't forget my grandma's cookout, I honestly thought she said Monday. And she may have, she slips sometimes. But my brain is mush lately too so it's a toss up lol.

The bunny seems much better today. She's eating again. I must say that really took me to my limit yesterday, I don't know how I got through it but I had no choice. She needs another bath today and I need Matt's help plus he has to cut her nails, I get too panicky. He got home too late last night to do it.

Think I'll get some paw balms made real quick before my meeting!

Good morning Jen! Your poor bunny!! can you adjust her diet a bit? maybe give her more fruits ? Amy's bunny loves apples :) Sorry you missed your grandmas event :( Today will be a better day!!

Hi Pat!!I am with you on vacating the premises when a hurricane hits!! My cousin is determined, but not stupid... so I am sure she will figure out something that keeps both her and her animals safe :)

Deb, hoping Ashley is feeling better! so frustrating to be feeling awful and not know why!!

Had a really nice hike yesterday, the little kids kept up pretty well :) I got absolutely no work done though... so today will be a creative day!!

Good morning. It is 36 out this morning. Brrr. Heading south toward Yellowstone. We finally found a campground for Tetons-could have done a hotel for just a bit more! Bob said don't worry. Ugh

Morning Elaine and Peggy.

Jen, sorry I mixed up forgetting with thinking it was yesterday. But you're right, sometimes they forget what they've planned too. Glad to hear bunny is better today. Poor thing.

Elaine, sorry, didn't mean to get crazy there but we had to sit through a Cat 1 hurricane when I was pregnant with Bruce and it was horrible so when they say to leave, I'm gone. I'm sure she'll be smart about what to do. Glad you enjoyed the hike but hey you deserved a day off from creating.

Peggy, I'd take your 36 today! Sorry Bob wouldn't go for the hotel. I know that would have been a nice break probably. Your trip has been beautiful. Sure have enjoyed following you.

Had a great conversation with Deb a bit ago who's friend had some suggestions for me on the bag. I've got a batch of brownies in the oven now for the Britt boys tonight so I'm about to head in there and see what I can do about getting this bag DONE!!

Not doing a hotel is okay. We'd have to carry things in in a grocery bag-no suitcases!

IT'S DONE!!! The bag is done and looks adorable! Thanks to Deb and her friend, I was able to figure out what the problem was and fix it. I'm so glad that's done with. Now I can concentrate on Irma, which is so much more relaxing.

People are going crazy down here buying up gas and supplies. I'm so glad I shopped yesterday and early this morning. I still need to put gas in my car but will probably do that tomorrow on my way home from leader's meeting. I'll go to Sams cause not everyone has a membership there. Hopefully I'll be able to fill up. Pretty sure I'll have to wait in a pretty long line to do that.

Ok gonna move on to something else now.

Re: THAT Daily Chat 9/5/17 - nowhere to go but up

Yay Pat on the bag! I have totally been there with frustrating projects! Do they have any idea when you guys would get hit by Irma if you do? Matt's brother lives in Florida and they are starting to panic :(

Didn't get too much real estate done today, just tying up some loose ends on a few things. I have 3 deals that I really need good news on this week and it's making me crazy. And of course one of them is William's house! It feels like I've been working on that one for a year!

Going to get some soap wrapped then get in a workout before starting AGT. I'm not much of a reality show person unless it's Ninja Warrior or Gordon Ramsey, but for some reason I've been hooked on AGT for years lol. I happen to like Simon Cowell but I also like Ramsey so maybe I just like mean guys hahaha.

OK no more delays on the soap!

Re: THAT Daily Chat 9/5/17 - nowhere to go but up

Jen we probably won't know anything much until Friday maybe. I know when Charley came in 2004 it was headed straight for us and then at the last minute turned East and went right through the state so you just never know.

Bruce filled up both cars with gas and we have gas for the generator. Tomorrow I'll be scanning all of our important papers to email to myself and him in the event we need them. This storm is scary big.

Bruce was on the phone all day with customers trying to get screen ordered and his company won't ship this close to the storm. Plus this is usually their slowest time so the inventory is not the best. With two storms back to back they'll be cranking out screen for months trying to catch up.

Where in Florida does Matt's brother live? I've been in touch with Jacqui too because she's on the east coast if this turns early. They are far enough inland that they wouldn't get flooded but could still get wind damage or spin off tornadoes as can we.

Tomorrow they will order an evcauation of the Keys and all parts south Florida. They need to start early so people can drive out. There's only one road out and it'll be packed.

Re: THAT Daily Chat 9/5/17 - nowhere to go but up

Hi everyone,
Mother Nature is creating havoc with wildfires all around us. Air quality is smokey and unhealthy to breathe. Roads are closed for mom and I to get home. We may need to stay with sister Chris longer.
Pat, praying for you and everyone else with Irma in your path. You are smart to leave if it comes to that.
I hope to fill you in later on our trip. Just staying inside out of the smoke.
