I am stuck!

Argh help! My resin idea isn't going very well. There is so much effort and not enough time (and money) to do this. I have casted about 5 different pieces and each one, isn't as great as I like. I have tried sooo many tips and tricks to get really good results and the weeks just go by waiting for stuff to dry/cure for an outcome that I don't really like!
I think I need to re think. I want to keep mking jewellery, as I really enjoy it. But I want to be different - and have fun. I am not having fun with what I am making right now. I want to do make stuff that inspires me and helps my artistic needs. I sarted looking into decoupage. (I think it is spelt like that) I am quite liking this idea, and making it in my own. I searched esty and there are not as many people using te same technique - and no one is using personaliation - which is what I want to use. I have somehow already touched on decoupage - using ribbon and wrapping old metal bangles...
It will be much cheaper for me to do this rather than this resin, It doesn't take forever to dry, and I can use any images and fabrics I like and even create my own. I also won't need to do a complete overhall of my shop! lol
What do you guys think?

Decoupage sounds interesting! I think personalizing it would bring more interest too. I'd love to see a sample.
And don't worry, I am totally revamping my entire bath & body business (again) to now be more luxurious and 100% natural. Talk about total overhaul and headache.

I have been looking deeper into it and feeling quite excited about it. And it is eco friendly as well. I could even branch into jewellery boxes.
I just bought a plain wooden bangle and some mod podge - quite excited for that to arrive.
I could add peoples names or phrases to the pieces and even pictures. I think people quite like that. I also can make other pieces and make sets ( earrings. necklaces. bangles)
It makes so much more sense for me to try this rather than the resin - I think I was going over my head with that. I used resin before - but in a studio - not at home in the garden shed with limited tools and resources.
I can use any paper and fabric. ooO I am getting excited!

Katie, take a break from the resin and explore your new idea just for yourself. Make an item and try to find out whether you really enjoy making it (without thinking about how it would fit into your shop), if it causes your brain to buzz with new ideas, if you have the urge to show your new item to everybody else in your household...
By the way, the excitement in your last post tells me you're on the right way...
Then you can go on and decide if you want to expand your shop, if you just modify what you're doing right now and so on.
But right now do something fun to make you happy again and forget about the resin ;-)
I once made a giant papier maché ant because I got frustrated with my work and life and it was so much fun. Even more so because it was a completely childish and pointless enterprise.

Yay! I am excited! And I started decorating a wooden bangle. My experiement if you like. I am so enjoying it! I have researched techniques and styles and the possiblilties are endless! I am really enjoying exploring my creative side again. I keep laying awake at night thinking about all my designs and ideas! I draw them down and they still don't go out of my head. So feeling a little tired today! LOL
I have showed off my little experiement to family and friends and they really like it. Now I just got to polish up my techniques and hopefully have some new inventory for my shop soon. :) Thanks guys! xx

Katie Joy, the blue lace is beautiful! Both are very pretty, but that blue is so classic and eye-catching!
