please help

Ok, everyone says white background, bla bla bla........
But I think the 8 listings I have in my shop with white backgrounds, suck. They blend. They don't appeal as a whole. I like most of them singularly.
Any ideas?
The rest of the pictures, I have been working on.

Re: please help

I have to disagree with you. I think your white background pictures are bright and showcase your product well. I also like that in those pictures I can see the decoration on the clip, as opposed to just the decoration, so I know what it is that I am looking at. I agree that the white background is generally boring, but you're not selling backgrounds...

Re: please help

I see what you're saying about the photos looking good individually but not as great all together. I don't think it's necessarily the white backgrounds that are the problem, I personally find them more appealing than the other ones. I think part of the issue is that you only have a few listings. If I were you I wouldn't worry too much about the overall look of your shop yet. Maybe once you add more items you could arrange them in a way that is more pleasing to the eye. Good luck!

Re: please help

thank you for the encouragement, I have about 15-20 things I am working on. I keep fluttering around and not finishing from the sewing machine, to hand sewing, to putting together, to listing....
This is apparently my Achilles.

Ok, I have some Pictures taken at different angles, other than the just horizontal picture. Is that looking ok??

Re: please help

I have a problem hopping from project to project as well :-) its not always a bad thing, sometimes it's good to let your brain rest and move on to a different task.

I make hair clips also. For my listings I try to include the following photos for every clip: above view, angle view, back, with packaging, and on a model. Whatever photography techniques you're using with the white background seems to be getting the job done, they look great! I have found that its more efficient for me to stick to the above "formula" for picture angles, especially when you start adding more and more items. Also if customers are trying to decide between items they can have consistent views to compare. The most important thing is to utilize all 5 of those picture slots!
