Need new eyes please!

I have been working day and night on photos, keywords, titles, etc... I'm still not getting much traffic and have only had 1sale. Can someone please tell me what I'm missing? I think I've become to close to the project. Thanks a lot!!

Re: Need new eyes please!

Hi Stacy!

I am in a similar situation and we both have one thing in common, we haven't been at our shop for very long. The one thing I have learned as having previous shop years ago, is that it takes awhile to grow a name!

Your shop looks great, honestly! You have a lot of products and the descriptions are nice. You sell a product everyone loves and you have tweaked it yourself to ensure it is better than what people can buy in store, or around.

As a crituquer, it is hard because I am still growing myself and I have also only had one sale, and not much traffic, but I can point out a couple of things that caught my eye immeditately when going to your shop. 1. Your banner is a galaxy, which is cute but it does not really go with your product. 2. It would be nice to see some pictures in your profile on how you begin your process, and end them. Maybe take a photo of the table where you make your candles, or what your inspiration is behind it. This not only connects the customer with you in a special way, but it shows them where their product is coming from and the love you put into it. 3. I would say the photos look great, they all seem to have a similar background. Maybe it would be nice to take a photo of the candles on display on a table, or something to show how it looks in a decorated area.

This is all basic and can be tweaked easily. I would say to keep truckin and don't forget to promote! if you do not have an instagram, i would say its a good time to start, tumblr, etc. Promote your items all over with links on where customers can buy.

I hope this is helpful!!!

The candle scents sound delicious, but I would suggest avoiding imagery that's not of your actual products -- the tootsie roll graphic, for example, just looks out of place next to the candle photos.

Hello :)

You shop looks really great, although there are two things that I would change. When I look at your shop I see candles and out of nowhere there is Hawaiian picture... I've noticed that people like cohesion. So maybe try to keep you main picture kinda in the same style?
And one more thing - I would remove 'free shipping' from the title. When people look for a candles they don't type in 'free shipping' to find it :)

Hope that helps :) Your candles look amazing :)

Re: Need new eyes please!

Couple of things I noticed:

- Do you have the copyrights to sell brand names? I would remove those immediately and reword - before you get a notice. You will get hit with copyright infringements /etsy legal will email sooner than later. if you keep it up too long using so many different copy rights... just browsing through your feed I have come across (Downy, Toostie Roll, Victoria Secret, Bath and Body Works, Jolly Rancher, Airhead...)

- Have you thought about taking your photos on a white poster board? then editing them on fotofuze?

- For your sections: Capitalize every word... From "Wax melts to Wax Melts"

- Put what the item is as the first part of your title then follow with Free Shipping. Most people will search "Wax Melts" looking for wax melts not seach "Free Shipping" for wax melts - They might search "Wax Melts Free Shipping" which would show your store if you had them in that order :)

- As everyone says more items = more views and sales

Hope that helps and Happy Sales!!
