Questions about promoting on Facebook

Has anyone promoted their business on Facebook? Do you think spending advertising dollar will convert to sales. I have promoted my other products on Facebook but didn't see any dramatic change in my sales. What do you think? How has been your experience?

I've seen it hit or miss. I'm still trying to figure out the facebook advertising myself. I have seen others succeed while others don't make a dime. I think it comes down to figuring out what works for you and each business will be different.

I have sold on FB from my Vintage Shop. But it is hit an miss as Beloved Doll says. The good thing is that people get to know what you do. I get a lot of repair work from FB friends. I do not spend any money advertising.

I've lately been trying to use the various FB groups that are for selling. To date, I haven't seen an uptick in anything.

I certainly wouldn't pay money for the opportunity since FB is notorious for using "click farms" in china and other places. You get tons of likes and such, but they're pretty much automated responses and don't indicate you're actually getting traffic from people that might buy something.

I no longer pay for FB ads, just post pictures of my new Etsy listings. Never have I gotten any sales from FB.

Well, evidently we are on the other side. I took a look one day at the items that we had sold over the years and of the 15 or so I had posted on FB, 12 of them had sold. Coincidence? I don't know but I will continue to do it.
