Please help....

Hi guys and gals. I posted my request for help in the forum, but no replies, so I'm asking for your help here:

Please help...How do I change photo which automatically posts when I post my Etsy store to Facebook. When I post to a group or page, my Etsy store link automatically posts the photo of my French glass butter dish...the least attractive, least visible photo of all items that I have for sale. Can someone please explain how I can change the photo which the Etsy link chooses to post? Thanks so much for any help you can provide. <3

I wonder the same thing, i think it is random and probably nothing you can do about , you can still post other items separately to drag more attention to and still link them to your store , i hope you can get the answer your looking for Good luck !

Re: Please help....

I know sometimes when I link stuff to facebook it'll let me choose a picture (hoover around the picture and you'll see little arrows on it). That usually happens for me.

Re: Please help....

Thanks everybody. I know it always give me to option to delete the picture, which I do, but then the url just seems to get lot among all of the other postings. I'll hover longer and look for arrows. Thanks again. Hugs to all.

Re: Please help....

I'm not sure I understand the question, but I have found that when I posted to FB from Etsy, it didn't really get much response. It was better for me to post the picture directly to FB and then in the comments, put the link to my shop.

Re: Please help....

Hi Shari, I agree and do the same thing...post my photo directly to my fb page and then say it is in my shop on Etsy. My question may not have been very clear. My most recent experience with this problem was when I joined a fb group (and it has happened other times, too). They allowed posting our store website url. When I type in www the store name and etsy... It posts my site with a picture of the French butter dish. This photo was not selected by me and I would much prefer a different photo. Thanks <3

Re: Please help....

I just checked out your shop and I totally see what you mean. (By the way, you have great items!!!) The butter dish is by far the least attractive picture. I've been thinking about your dilemma though, and since you can't seem to change the picture that pulls to that group, how about uploading a different picture of the butter dish? I know the dish is clear and kind of gets lost in the background, but maybe adding some props (butter and a couple eggs?) and not such a close shot might show it off better in that particular thumbnail.

Re: Please help....

Umph, good question. Can't you rearrange your shop as well as the variation as to your selective TOP FOUR that are presented first before your listings?
Now, I didn't even know this feature existed for a year or so?!
These are the ones that pop up for my FB posts for link to page.
Thought I would add to this feature as well as maybe this being the option for a change?
What site is it that you can get a free Etsy banner from? It randomly selects your top 4 listings also. No way to change that unless you know before requesting banner.
