Creating a setting for a stone in a wax design...

Hello everyone!
I started experimenting with the lost wax technique for new jewelry pieces, and I was wondering how I could create a setting in wax, any setting... I was also wondering if I have to make the setting a slightly bigger, since the casting may decrease the size of the item?

What kind of settings do you want to make, or are you more likely to make, Justine? Bezel, flush, prong? Regardless, don't make the setting bigger than the stone. You can always remove metal once it is cast if it's a little tight or you need to make other adjustments.
