Can epoxy be used to stabilize a rivet?

I did two rivets with nail heads when I probably should have used wire and the resulting connections are wobbly. This won't be noticeable when the necklace is worn but I don't like it. There's no way to fix this with the hammer, there's just too much wiggle room on the rivet, probably because of the space created by the nail head.
Has anybody ever used epoxy to correct this sort of problem? I was thinking if I worked a tiny amount of epoxy under the findings at the back it might stabilize the rivet but I've never done this and wonder if anyone knows if it will work.

not sure how successful epoxy would be, the only solution to wonky or wobbly rivets I have is to saw them off and start again sorry.

perhaps now with a little bump your thread may catch someone's eye that has tried epoxy for this though :-)

Re: Can epoxy be used to stabilize a rivet?

Thanks very much. I went ahead and tried this. The rivet is basically good, there's just too much play because the wire flares a bit at the nail head so, no matter how hard I hit it, the connector loop couldn't go down any further. There was space at the back to fit a tiny amount of epoxy in the gap between the connector loop and the nail head. It seems to have worked well. The connector loop is now epoxied to the wire and it doesn't move anymore.
