I have encountered problems on etsy many times, and every time etsy has some changes, innovations we sellers need to adapt. when it comes to etsy, for some reason they do not want to adapt, when I need to solve a problem that should be solved in 2 minutes it takes days - weeks - month. A year ago I was on vacation for a month and until I posted on the forum my problem was not addressed
1 I can't understand why in 2025 I have to write to e-mail when everything can be solved online.
2 why when I write online and get to an agent he will say to me anyway - I passed your question, you will be contacted by e-mail, why is he sitting there if he doesn't solve anything?
3 why do I have to go through stupid surveys from a robot and wait several days for an answer?
ps, i am grateful to etsy for giving me the opportunity to sell, but i sincerely hope that you will make the support more modern and competent and i hope to be heard.
First line support staff are there to triage issues which can be solved quickly and send the issues which need more specialist attention to the relevant department.
If you have already contacted support then there's is no point in continually contacting them with new support tickets - apparently this causes your first communications to be closed leaving the latest one open at the end of the queue.
Your shop appears to be open - so is there something we can help you with here? It's quicker to ask your questions in the forum (unless it involves sharing personal or financial data).
I had a problem with 2fa, I found the solution to my problem myself, because I waited 2 days for it to be solved.
I don't want to argue with you, I'm saying that the support system is very bad, if the same system would work in any important infostructure for example health care, many people would not get help in time.
@MojoArtGlass you are correct, the support system is very bad. I think they prioritise requests based on whether the info can be found in the Help pages. If it can be found there then it's classed low priority, hoping you will figure it out yourself, as you have done here. I'm glad you found the solution.
I contacted Etsy support for the first time a week ago. I used the online chat function. The computer couldn't answer my question and passed me onto a human. Problem solved withing 5 minutes. No waiting. No issues. Just a quick, friendly response. Its not all bad....
