suddenly not getting an email from Etsy when a sale comes in...anyone else

Hello fellow shop owners,

After about 8 am today Central, I am not getting a email from Etsy just letting me know a sale has come in. Everything in my shop dash looks fine, just no email. Anyone else? Not a huge deal. But just curious.

Got emails for first couple years then didn't get a single one for about 5 years and now get them sporadically.  Never look at them when I get them so no biggy.  The cha-ching on the app is way more reliable and more fun, at least for me, but I don't rely on either.  I check my shop several times a day.

I get them and would be VERY UNHAPPY not to get them. Not only are they an immediate notification that I look forward to, but I forward them to my kids who share in my success and joy!  It’s a family celebration and those emails would be missed!

It comes and goes for many sellers that is one reason why you have to check your shop daily at least.  I always check twice a day.  Email, to me, is only a backup just i ncase.

I seldom get emails in any of my 3 shops.  I check all shops 2-3x a day.  I don't depend on Etsy to run my shops.

I don't even get an email from eBay when I get the occasional sale.  Don't trust them either.  Log in at least 2x a day with all shops.

Hello, This morning I did not receive a notice of a sale.  I like when Etsy sends me notification of a sale.

Next time you buy a label a box will appear asking if you want the emails. Sometimes the box becomes unchecked.

Just came to the forums to see if anyone else is having this issue. I got an order today but no notification email.

Sometimes they do sometimes they don't.  This has been going on for a few years.

Apparently Etsy does not seem to think the issue is worth fixing.

I have always gotten a email when I sell an item. EXCEPT when the buyer's  account/finances are brand new and apparently not confirmed yet. Then it either goes through in a day or it  fails to go through at all.

I've got this problem today. 23 sales without any email notifications. I've been here since 2019 and this is the first time I've had this issue. Will report it now as technical issue and see what happens.

Had this happen a few times last week. I have no idea why I usually get them as I should - but not always. You'd think Etsy would be concerned about this, but.... not so much, I guess! 

It definitely pays to check your shop frequently!

Yes, this happened to me all weekend... I didn't get any emails and only one text message out of 6 new orders. And the text message didn't cha-ching
