Hello. On the last day of the month i've got a suprise that i will not become starseller. The reason is the spam message in my inbox 2 days ago which i did not reply. What should i do now?
Go back and mark as spam. You must reply to all messages or mark as spam.
If you are using the app you need to use a browser to mark the spam message. The app does not have that option. It may be too late for SS for Feb. as they usually close it a couple days before the end of the month.
If it's Spam, you need to mark it as such.
I like to reply to spam messages, to let the sender know its im reporting them for spamming and then mark it as spam, just to be doubly sure.
@RetroSpinClocks Etsy has asked that we not respond to the scam messages but to mark them as spam.
Responding can only encourage them to continue trying.
@Sirius3D: "The reason is the spam message in my inbox 2 days ago ..." Unfortunately, the Star Seller metric for messages is very simplistic and binary - either you replied to (or marked as SPAM) that first message of a new incoming thread within 24 hours or you did not.
It is probably too late for your February star, but if the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered new thread as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two (but not retroactively) if the original message was within the current star seller period. Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.
Unless something has changed recently, you can only mark a message as SPAM using the buyer app or a browser, the option is not available in the seller app.
