My messages was downgraded from %100 to 98% Esty didn't send a auto reply until days later. I thought they automatically went .This was a mistake on etsys part.

You should be ok ... you need 95% for the Star Seller Badge.

In the meantime, check your messages daily. Last time I checked autoreply it only lasted for like 5 days. And if I was a customer with a question and got an autoreply that was not followed by an actual reply, I'd probably move on. And it could be an Etsy blip but that probably won't help you.

98% still gets you the badge.  That said, the tools are there to manage things, you just need to use them.

  • Auto reply only lasts five days at a time before you have to reset it.  
  • Alternatively you can set Opening Hours, and messages received during those hours will get an auto-reply which prevents you losing SS points.

The system is fully automated, it doesn't have the capacity to make judgements, it just looks for a Yes/No answer on whether you answer the required % of items on time.  

If you want the badge, you have to keep on top of things, the bots can't do it for you.
