sold item is missing but appeared as a new listing

A sold item does not show up as "sold" but was in my listings & I did NOT renew it.

I've deactivated it but what if I hadn't noticed & someone tried to buy it??!!!

I realize that but I'm just concerned that it happened at all. I wouldn't want a customer upset with me over something I didn't do.

I thought posting it here might get Etsy's attention.

Nothing here gets Etsy's attention unless it is REALLY embarrassing or financially impacting the bottom line - (theirs, of course). 

Usually, not always, this is a result of pilot error.  Maybe, inadvertently you had a quantity of more than one listed....  At lease you caught it and have taken appropriate action.

Was it the bracelets? Is it possible that you put 2 in the quantity box when you set up the listing? I recently saw another seller with the same problem and that's what had occurred.

Thanks for all your help. I contacted Etsy and received an automated response. So I'm in the process of figuring out what happened.

@MySoftParade Possibly just a glitch - I've heard of it happening before, or perhaps a quantity more than one you overlooked / hit the wrong button at some point.  I'm glad you caught it!

* Just wanted to mention what a fabulous job you do with arranging your listings - it made me want to look at your entire shop, to see what "outfits" you put together!  I know it's a lot of work to keep it looking that good!  Best wishes for a great 2025!

I thought that maybe I inadvertently relisted it but what bothers me is that it's not with my sold items. Hopefully, like you said, it's probably just a glitch.
