I just received an order and the confirmation code came to my e-mail address. Etsy asked for my card information in the mail, it gave an error even though I entered it, it did not confirm, what can I do please help

Unfortunately it's a SCAM. You need to tell your bank and put a block on your Payment card immediately. Sorry this happened to you.

Do not provide any information…this is a known scam targeting new sellers! If you had a sale (your shop shows no sales) you would see it on your shop dashboard. Here’s some further information provided by @bradgoodell:

@Amaradorn @Right? When is Etsy going to do something? New sellers are going to fall like dominos and Etsy is twiddling its thumbs. Ugh! Though I suspect reselling in this particular case….it’s still no excuse for lack of Etsy oversight.

What card information did you enter when asked?

'Payment Card' could be a credit or debit card.

Look at your shop. You have NO SALES. This is a scam. 

Whichever information you gave them may not be compromised. You say you gave information, but it was not etsy. Etsy will not contact you in this way about needing more information.

If you did this through a link in an email, stop now.

The support is NOT Etsy. but the scammers.  New sellers have lost hundreds after being taken in.

Please read the link posted above and acquaint yourself with tricks scammers use to steal your money.
