I haven't been using my "share & save" links when customers ask about products because I've had a number of them say the link doesn't work and that it sends them to my shop front page and not to the listing.
Seems to defeat the purpose.
I believe they were on their phone rather than on a laptop so that might be the issue. Has this been fixed.

I've had this problem too and sometimes not just from sending customers from outside my shop with the S&S link, but even just trying to send a link to a product in an Etsy convo with someone.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and goes to the shop front. It's always been hit or miss. When I'm having a convo with a customer, sometimes I just give them advance notice that it might not go directly to the listing and say, if it doesn't, just type these three words in my shop (relating to the item) and then you can find it that way. Not sure what else to do.
Just one more way that Etsy helps sellers look like they don't know what they're doing thanks to their technical issues. *sigh*
It may not be a bad thing, necessarily. It could encourage buyers to look through your shop and maybe see what else you have to offer, which, in turn, may bring a multiple sale order or cause a buyer to return for something else later on. But, since I don’t participate in Share and Save, I’m not sure if someone buys a different item from your shop if it would also be eligible for the fee reduction (doubtful, I know)? I mean Etsy collects on any sales from offsite ads, so why shouldn’t sellers be able to do the same? Yeah, yeah…I know…it’s their sandbox (more like a litter box these days) and therefore they’re unlikely to afford sellers the same benefits. Asymmetry at its finest.
The Save and Share link has worked for me several times - I use it a lot but you only get the credit if the buyer's account is new to Etsy.
Any chance it goes to a listing that has expired or sold out and then defaults to your page front?
@boutonrougedesigns: There have been a few threads that Share And Save links do not seem to work properly on the buyer app but they seem to work okay through a browser (mobile or other). The age of the account does not matter.
