I just received a message from a buyer who sent me a link saying there was an error while purchasing and you need to verify your bank information. This is a scam message, please be careful, they are targeting new stores.

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
These messages continue to pop here. It’s really annoying:/
This has been ongoing for some time, just make sure you read and take on board the caveat about scams in all of your messages.
Total scam!! Move it to spam and never give anyone your bank details through an email and never click on any links. Etsy does business through the Shop Manager so that is where you will see if you have a genuine Etsy message (look in the "From Etsy" folder in messages) and where you will find out if you have genuinely made a sale.

I think i might of accidently fell for it but it said i need at least £500 in my account so i don't think itll do anything, luckily i got a whole separate card just for my etsy stuff and ive froze it just in case but i really hope not, i feel stupid because i should have realised when it was in spam i was just getting overwhelmed by everything and i wasnt thinking straight and i really hope ive not messed up.
@MellRise @EnchantedChaosShoppe scammers love targeting new shops, especially ones that don't look like they know what they are doing.
Add:
- shop location
- relevant shop title saying what you sell in your shop
- shop announcement
- About section with images
- shop policies relevant to the country you live in & the countries you sell to
